During their appearance on MBC’s Omniscient Interfering View, Kim Yoo Yeon and Kim Na Kyung of the 24-member girl group TripleS discussed their initial earnings. Despite being known as the largest girl group in terms of members, the TripleS members surprised viewers by revealing that the production and operation costs for the group amounted to a staggering 10 billion won. When asked about their personal salaries, which were reported to be equivalent to that of a manager at a major company, Kim Na Kyung expertly avoided the question. She simply stated, “I received my first paycheck last year and treated the members to a meal.”
NewJeans’ debut was followed by their first paycheck two months later. Based on the Financial Supervisory Service report released in April, ADOR’s revenue for the previous year was 110.3 billion won, which was more than five times higher than the previous year’s earnings of 19 billion won. As a result, the total salary received by the NewJeans members was approximately 26.1 billion won, with an operating profit of 33.5 billion won. With five members in the group, each individual could have earned over 5 billion won (equivalent to about 7 billion VND).
STAYC, the renowned girl group famous for their chart-topping songs such as “So Bad,” “Stereotype,” and “Bubble,” shared that they finally received their initial payment following the success of their hit track “Teddy Bear.” It was reported that each member of STAYC earned a salary of approximately 98.25 million won.
After receiving her first salary as a solo artist, Choi Ye Na, who was once a member of IZONE, revealed that she used the money to take her family on a trip overseas and also purchased a house for her parents in Yangpyeong.
Jo Kwon from the group 2AM surprised everyone by admitting that he shed tears upon receiving his first paycheck due to its small amount.
