Jake Paul has disclosed the amount he will be earning for his postponed match against Mike Tyson, but some fans are skeptical if he will receive his entire payment.
Despite initial skepticism from boxers, boxing fans, and pundits, the announcement of a fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson intrigued many. While the YouTuber-turned-boxer has a respectable record, ‘Iron’ Mike remains one of the all-time greats in boxing.
Despite numerous other factors, the significant age difference between the two was also a major concern. With Tyson at 58 years old and Jake at only 27 years old, their age gap became a factor when the veteran boxer experienced an ulcer flare-up mid-flight from Miami to Los Angeles, ultimately leading to his withdrawal from the scheduled July fight.
The match has been rescheduled for mid-November, and the duo has resumed building up the excitement. Amidst all this, Jake has disclosed the amount he will be receiving to compete against ‘Iron’ Mike.
“At his pre-fight press conference, he declared, “My goal is to earn $40 million and defeat a legend. I am not concerned with anything else.”
“He was the one who insisted on making it a professional fight, so he should be prepared to get knocked out and have it go on his official record. My only intention is to make money.”

That assertion has been challenged by a handful of critics who argue that Jake’s expected victory is not a sure thing. “Highly unlikely,”one individual commented. “If no one is willing to pay for this nonsense, it won’t be as profitable,”added another.
Initially, when the two were considering the fight, there was talk of a potential $300 million payout. However, it has become clear that this will not be the case.
There are concerns that Tyson may not be able to compete in November, prompting speculation that Jake has a contingency plan with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. as a backup option.
