He then brought Ryomen Sukuna to a training station, potentially marking the final showdown between these two formidable opponents.

Despite the lack of room for celebration among the Jujutsu Kaisen characters following the reveal of Itadori’s domain, fans took it upon themselves to rejoice in the protagonist’s victory over the antagonist during the final moments of their fight. This chapter was widely praised as the best one yet, bringing true happiness to fans as Itadori Yuji finally turned the tables.

The 264th chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen opened with Sukuan skillfully dodging Hana Kurusu’s Jacob’s Ladder attack and attempting to defeat her with a powerful Black Flash move. Just in time, Aoi Todo came to her rescue, but Sukuna’s Black Flash still managed to hit them both, causing them to be thrown backwards.

Immediately following their departure, Itadori closely followed Sukuna’s movements and leapt towards the King of Curses. With great force, he slammed the enemy into a nearby building, leaving no opportunity for escape. Despite the King of Curses’ regained strength and assumption that Itadori’s powers would not affect his physical form, the protagonist quickly activated his domain expansion, transporting the two of them into a train station.

Reactions from the fandom

It was no surprise that the fans praised the chapter, as the protagonist successfully turned the tables on the antagonist. One fan even jokingly pointed out how Sukuna may be regretting his previous taunting of the protagonist, now that Yuji has unleashed his cursed technique during the final battle.

Conversely, a fan examined Yuji’s hand-seal and argued that it differed from Ryomen Sukuna’s, potentially possessing abilities that surpassed the antagonist’s and fans’ expectations.

Finally, a fan suggested that Yuji’s hand seal was not intended to activate his domain expansion, but rather a prayer for the antagonist who would soon face the repercussions of their actions.

“Imagine trying to pi*s off and break some random a*s brat cause you hate him and he looks at you with the “come on sukuna”a fan said

“I knew you was gonna turn up”another fan said

“His hand sign is different from sukunas, fingers arent touching and theres only 2 fingers up instead of four connecting… hmmm”another one said

“He isn’t just casting his domain expansion, he also praying for Sukuna because he knows he’s cooked”another one claimed

Final Thoughts

Despite the high expectations of the fandom, Ryomen Sukuna has consistently overcome every challenge in the final fight, so fans should keep this in mind.

Despite Sukuna’s confusion about Itadori’s train station domain expansion, it could suggest that Yuji’s domain expansion would be something unexpected or at least not what the King of Curses was anticipating.
