In the universe of Once Human, where extraterrestrial beings have caused an undesirable genetic mutation in all living creatures, Deviants are your endearing companions. They are small and lovable creatures that team up with you in times of combat and survival.
The Butterfly Emissary, also known as the Deviation O-001, is a red origami butterfly that is considered a Deviant. Its abilities include attacking the enemy target, causing damage, and diverting attention away from its allies. This makes it an important companion during the initial stages of your journey.
1. How to obtain the Butterfly Emissary Deviant in Once Human?
The Butterfly Emissary Deviant can be obtained by players through any of the following methods in Once Human–
- Completing the Eve of the Evolution tutorial quest
- From the GAIA Research Centre Ruins
- Farming the Securement Silo Alpha
The initial task in Once Human’s main questline is the Eve of the Evolution Quest. Upon its completion, players will be rewarded with the Butterfly Emissary Deviant, making it the most efficient and time-saving approach.
To obtain the Butterfly Emissary, one can also visit the GAIA Research Centre located in the Broken Delta (4080, -6375). Upon arriving at the building, proceed to the lower level near the 1F elevators.
The Butterfly Emissary can be found in the back Glass Room, beside a few computers. Make sure to be at least level 18, as there are enemies on both sides.
The Emissary can also be obtained by farming the dungeon Securement Silo Alpha, located at coordinates (80, -3599) in the Chalk Peak region.
Upon successfully completing the dungeon, there is a possibility of receiving a Butterfly Emissary from the Boss. However, it should be noted that this reward is not guaranteed and may require multiple tries.
2. How to use the Butterfly Emissary Deviant?
Prior to engaging in combat, ensure that Butterfly Emissary Deviant is placed in a secure and isolated Securement Unit within your territory. Strive to satisfy its requirements by incorporating Green Lights and Flowers, in order to enhance its mood and strength.
To utilize the Butterfly Emissary Deviant in battle, synchronization with your cradle is necessary. This can be achieved by interacting with the Deviant while it is in the Securement Unit. Once synchronized, you will have the ability to summon and control the Deviant during combat.
During battle, utilize the E Key to access a menu. This menu allows you to select the actions of the Butterfly Emissary. You can command it to use one of its two skills or return to your side.
By utilizing Designated Target and directing the Butterfly Emissary towards a nearby enemy, it will continue to engage in automatic attacks until either the enemy is vanquished or its Deviant Power is depleted. Conversely, opting for Auto Attack will result in the same behavior as Designated Target, while also enhancing the amount of Weakspot DMG inflicted on the enemy. Nevertheless, choosing Auto Attack will consume a higher amount of deviant power.
