In Sea of Thieves, you have the opportunity to both navigate the expansive Caribbean waters and alter the appearance of your pirate character. Here is the method for doing so in the game.
Sea of Thieves allows players to customize their character’s appearance at the start of the game. However, if you decide to change your pirate’s attire at a later time, you will need to use Ancient Coins, the in-game currency. While some changes can still be made through the use of Curses, changing your character’s preset will also require spending Ancient Coins.
Changing Your Character Appearance in Sea of Thieves
To change your character’s appearance purchase the Pirate Appearance Potion from the Pirate Emporium.
In order to alter your pirate’s appearance in Sea of Thieves, you must acquire the Pirate Appearance Potion, available for purchase at the Pirate Emporium for 149 Ancient Coins. Once obtained, you will be able to select from the same character presets that were available during the initial character creation.
One may wonder, how can Ancient Coins be obtained? One option is to eliminate Ancient Skeletons that appear randomly near players on Islands, Forts, or Sea Forts. Alternatively, one can simply purchase Ancient Coins using real currency.
The Secret Stash of Ancients, which includes 150 Ancient Coins, is available for purchase at $1.99, and the Lost Chest of the Ancients, which contains 550 Ancient Coins, can be purchased for $5.99.
