How to Change Language in The Plucky Squire on PC

The Plucky Squire is a delightful adventure game that invites players on a whimsical journey through the vibrant Land of Mojo. This game performs impressively on PC and showcases outstanding presentation in both its 2D and 3D formats. Although there are myriad options for customization on PC, players may find the absence of an in-game language switcher in the settings menu. Below, we explain how to adjust the language settings in The Plucky Squire.

How to Change The Plucky Squire Language

To change the language for The Plucky Squire on PC, you will need to modify the language settings of the Steam client. This is an unexpected limitation, but the developers have addressed this issue on the Steam forums with a helpful solution.

  • Ensure that The Plucky Squire is not running
  • Click on Steam in the top-left corner of the client, then select Settings
  • Navigate to the Interface tab
  • The first option available is Steam Client Language
  • Select your preferred language, and Steam will automatically restart to apply the change

After Steam restarts and the new language is set for the client, you can then launch The Plucky Squire. The in-game language will now match the selected language in the Steam client.

Supported Languages in The Plucky Squire

The Plucky Squire supports the following languages on PC. You can only change the Steam client language to one of these options:

  • English
  • French
  • German
  • Spanish – Spain
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Portuguese – Brazil
  • Russian
  • Simplified Chinese
  • Traditional Chinese
  • Spanish – Latin America

We hope that the developers will implement an in-game option for changing the language, as it’s a feature found in nearly every other game. This seems like an unusual oversight, and hopefully, it will be addressed in a future update.

In addition to language options, it’s worth noting that The Plucky Squire lacks a toggle for depth of field; however, you can disable this feature by editing a simple configuration file.
