Unlocking Clones in Black Myth: Wukong
To use Clones in Black Myth: Wukong, you will need the skill “A Pluck of Many.”Here is how to obtain it.
Step 1: Making Your Way to Yellow Wind Ridge
First reach the Village Entrance Shrine.
To unlock the area Yellow Wind Ridge, your initial task is to defeat the final boss of Black Wind Mountain. This mountainous wasteland can be accessed after defeating the final boss. If you are able to defeat bosses without much difficulty, you should reach this area within the first 3 hours of the game.
Upon arrival at Yellow Wind Ridge, proceed to the Village Entrance Shrine.
Step 2: Defeat The Royal Family of Flowing Sands
Defeat Royal Family of Flowing Sands boss.
The initial boss encountered in this area is relatively simple to defeat. There are two adversaries: a small rat that hurls stones and a larger one that directly attacks. It is best to concentrate on defeating the larger rat, as taking down the smaller one only serves to enrage its larger counterpart.
After defeating the large rat, you will come across a small stone statue. Upon interacting with it, you will be prompted to search for the Keeness of Tiger. The headless Monk you encountered at the start will then begin singing about a Tiger.
Defeat the First Prince of Flowing Sands
First Prince of Flowing Sands is an pretty easy boss.
Once you have defeated the main boss, you will encounter another boss, albeit smaller in size. This boss may seem intimidating, but it is actually quite easy to defeat. Take it down swiftly and you will have completed your encounter with the Flowing Sands family. Continue on your journey as you search for the elusive Tiger.
Step 4: Reaching the Crouching Tiger Temple
Crouching Tiger Temple is one of the key locations in the second region of the game.
As you continue to explore, you will eventually reach the Crouching Tiger Temple. Nearby, you will find a Shrine where you can replenish your health, mana, and Gourd by interacting with it. Climb the stairs and you will encounter the Tiger Vanguard.
Step 5: Overcoming the Tiger Vanguard
Tiger Vanguard is a pretty difficult boss in the game.
This boss is challenging due to its quickness and wide range of attacks, utilizing both its body and a large sword. It may take multiple attempts to defeat the Tiger Vanguard, depending on your dodging abilities. However, once defeated, you will discover another stone statue.
Upon interacting with it, you will be prompted to locate the Sterness of Stone.
Step 6: Defeat the Stone Vanguard
Stone Vanguard is an easy boss provided you’re mindful.
If you continue on your path from the Crouching Tiger Temple, you will eventually encounter the Stone Vanguard. This boss, the third one you must defeat, is relatively easy. Its slow movements make it vulnerable to attack, so simply watch for obvious opportunities and use your staff to defeat it.
If you remain calm and avoid forcing it, you should be able to accomplish it in just one or two attempts. Overcoming this challenge will earn you the coveted Sterness of Stone.
Step 7: Reach the Windseal Gate
Make your way to Windseal Gate.
Once you have successfully defeated the Stone Vanguard, the game will direct you to another Shrine. Hit the Shrine and continue moving forward. If you continue walking in a straight line, you will come across a meditation point. From there, turn right and continue walking until you reach a sand-slide, which you can then drop down.
Upon reaching the bottom, you will arrive at the Windseal Gate.
Step 8: Receive the “A Pluck of Many” Spell
Receive the spell to make Clones.
When you arrive at the Windseal Gate, you will once again hear the headless Monk singing. This time, he will bestow upon you the spell you have been seeking as a reward.
Your third spell slot will become available right away, allowing you to create clones whenever you need them. However, keep in mind that these clones require a significant amount of mana at this stage of the game. And, if you are also utilizing the Immobilize and Cloud Step spells, you will only be able to use it once.
Furthermore, during the early stages of the game, the Clones are not capable of inflicting significant harm and are primarily used as diversions.
