In the first chapter of Black Myth: Wukong, players will encounter the Whiteclad Noble, a serpent/human creature dressed in a white robe. This formidable boss has double the health of other enemies, moves quickly, and possesses the ability to manipulate water, making it a dangerous opponent. It may come as a surprise to face such a challenging boss so early in the game.
Pre-Fight Preparation
At the start of the game, you will have limited resources. Nevertheless, it is crucial to ensure that you are fully equipped to take on a difficult boss.
Obtain the Immobilize spell, one of the most sought-after spells in Black Myth: Wukong. Its effectiveness against the agile Whiteclad Noble makes it a popular choice. Additionally, acquire the Stagnation Mysticism to enhance Immobilize and prolong its effects.
Enhance your Pillar Stance so that you can stand on your staff and avoid taking damage from water attacks. You can also opt for the Smash Stance, which will enable you to charge heavy combos while attacking.
At this stage of the game, you should have a good understanding of Transformations and Spirits. The Wandering Wight spirit possesses formidable attacks that can greatly diminish your opponent’s health.
Transformation can also be used to take on a different form, almost like living a second life. This ability can help you endure longer in battles.
Where is the Whiteclad Noble?
The Whiteclad Noble is a required boss, making it impossible to avoid encountering him in Chapter 1. As you explore the expansive Black Wind Mountain, make your way to the Bamboo Grove where the boss awaits, protecting the Marsh of White Mist Keeper’s Shrine.
How to defeat the Whiteclad Noble?
The Whiteclad Noble possesses both serpent and human qualities, allowing each form to have an opportunity to demonstrate its strength in battle.
In the initial stages of the match, your goal is to evade the Noble’s attacks. Their human agility is quite impressive, making it challenging to avoid their strikes. You may sneak in a few swift attacks, but it is wise to save your more powerful strikes for the later stages.
As the boss transforms into a serpent, be prepared for powerful, long-range attacks. These can be difficult to avoid, so it is recommended to use the Pillar Stance. This is also an opportune moment to utilize spells, summon Spirits, and finally, execute the Transformation ability.
The battle will commence when the Whiteclad Noble leaps into the air and hurls his spear, followed by a water swipe using the same weapon. To evade potential harm, employ the Pillar Stance.
During phase 1, the boss will move rapidly around the arena. You must remain vigilant at all times as he can strike at any moment. However, it is possible to evade most of his attacks.
To trigger the second phase of the fight, simply use the Cast Immobilize spell and follow it up with a heavy attack to drain his health. This can be done at any time during the battle.
Despite his deteriorating health, the Noble will still transform into his true snake-like form. However, this also means that he will have a full health bar and you will have to defeat him once again.
Despite a few minor changes, the majority of his attacks remain unchanged. He will continue to shoot water projectiles at you, but there is now a larger window for you to retaliate. Therefore, it is important to keep up your attacks.
Finally, employ Immobilize against the formidable Wandering Wight Spirit, as it can effectively deplete one-third of his health.
Whiteclad Noble Rewards
Upon defeating the Whiteclad Noble, you will receive the following rewards:
- Jade Fang
- Yarn x3
- 1049 XP
- 699 Will
