The inclusion of accessibility options was a major concern in the initial release of Hades, and the highly requested God Mode feature has made a comeback in the sequel. While the mode remains unchanged, here is a guide on how to activate God Mode in Hades 2.
How to Activate God Mode in Hades 2
In Hades 2, players have the ability to turn on God Mode by going to the Gameplay tab in the Options menu. This feature can be found as the first option in the menu and can easily be switched on or off.
The God Mode feature can be enabled at any point during gameplay. It is not necessary to activate it at the main menu, and your save file will indicate that it is in use. Additionally, the feature can be easily toggled on and off without affecting your save or progress in the game.
What Does God Mode Affect in Hades 2?
The only aspect of your Hades 2 save file that is affected by the God Mode difficulty toggle is damage resistance. Similar to the first Hades, God Mode gradually boosts your defense.
Enabling God Mode will result in a 20% increase in damage resistance. Additionally, each unsuccessful run will increase this stat by two percent. The damage resistance limit in the original Hades was 80% and should remain the same in the sequel.
Despite its name, enabling God Mode in Hades 2 will not make players instantly invincible. Each subsequent run will gradually become tougher, as dying is still a crucial part of the game and necessary to fully experience the story. Although there are no achievements available in the early access version of Hades 2, activating God Mode will not impact any progress made towards achievements, just like in the first game.
