How to Find and Rescue Special Bot 4 in Astro’s Playroom

The release of Astro Bot is just a few days away, and those who have been eagerly anticipating the fourth Special Bot to appear in Astro’s Playroom need wait no longer. The monkey bot from Ape Escape is the last of the four bots to be unlocked in Astro’s Playroom and will also be available in Astro Bot as part of your starting crew if you rescue him. Here is a guide on how to locate and rescue Special Bot 3 in Astro’s Playroom.

Special Bot 4 in Astro’s Playroom

The Special Bot 4 in Astro’s Playroom is a bot based on a monkey character from the Ape Escape series and can be located in Memory Meadow.

To rescue the Special Bot 4, simply follow the steps outlined below.

First, travel to Memory Meadow – Gusty Gateway level
Here, you’ll first want to locate the capsule to pull out early on in the stage
This is present next to the right anchor of the starting bridge you immediately cross

With the Capsule pulled out, make your way through the level, by extending tightropes and jumping through platforms

After some time, you will come across a faint blue cloud. Head towards it.

Throw the capsule at its location, and you’ll spawn the monkey bot
Now with the bot spawned, you need to rescue it
Continue making your way through the level until you see PlayStation controller clouds
Jump on top of it, and hover to avoid falling through it when it changes

Make your way to the top, and use square to charge up and hit the tree at the top

This will drop a banana, press square to pick it up and head back to the monkey bot location

Make your way to the platform between yourself and the monkey bot. You must now perform a dance routine by mimicking the monkey bot’s moves. This will be random for every player, but you will be able to perform the following moves using the D-pad buttons.
- Right is Disco
- Left is Carlton Dance
- Up is Flossing
- Down is Cha Cha Slide
If you make a mistake, you will need to obtain the banana again, but once you do it correctly, you will successfully rescue the Monkey Bot.

Similar to the Special Bot 3, this special bot will also be transferred to Astro Bot if you decide to buy it. Astro Bot is set to release exclusively on the PS5 on September 6, 2024.
