Have you noticed that eerie, dilapidated supermarket in Nalcott? Perhaps you stumbled upon it and decided to explore. This location marks the beginning of a side-quest known as ‘Lost in Madness’.
The task entails entering the supermarket and proceeding inside to activate a time ripple that provides you with a map. Although the map may appear useless to an ordinary player, the intention is to set you on a seemingly pointless search for the treasure.
Where to Find the Cultist Treasure Map in Once Human
In order to locate the Cultist Treasure Map-
- Head to the Coastside Plaza area in Dayton Wetlands.
- Look for and enter the BNMart.
- At the BNMart, engage with the red candle located in the leftmost corner to experience the sound of whispers.
- A ripple will occur in time-space, resulting in the appearance of a chest.
- To obtain the Cultist Treasure Map, open the chest.
If you wish to begin the side quest, Lost in Madness, your first destination should be the Coastside Plaza located in Dayton Wetlands. Upon arriving at the plaza, you can open your map and take a brief glance.
In the northeastern part of the area, you will notice a blue exclamation mark. As you are aware, this is a sign of a side quest in that particular location. If you are struggling to find it, you can consult the map provided above for the precise location.
Make your way to the indicated location on the map. Once you arrive, search for the BNMart and enter the store. Then, proceed to the left corner.
As you draw near to the area, you will notice hanging symbols from the ceiling and faint whispers can be heard. There is a red candle located in the vicinity. Press the F key to light the candle, which will initiate the side quest ‘Lost in Madness’.
The murmuring will cease once the candle is ignited, and a chest filled with treasure will materialize beside the crimson candle. Unlock the crate to uncover the Cultist’s Treasure Map within.
First, access your Inventory and navigate to the Special Tab. From there, open the Map. It will become apparent that the map is quite challenging to navigate, but you will find that X marks the location of the cultists’ treasure.
Where is the Cultist’s Treasure in Once Human?
The Cultist’s Treasure can be found within a camp situated in the Believer Colony of Chalk Peak. Its precise location can be pinpointed using the map coordinates 2301, -4918. The treasure can be found on the first floor of the southern-most building within a small camp located to the west of the main town.
The encampment holding the treasure is a compact collection of structures guarded by adversaries that can be eliminated from afar using a sniper. Vulture Minions also inhabit this vicinity. It is advised to be at least level 32 before venturing into this area, as there are potential dangers to be wary of.
In the image above, two buildings can be observed. The building on the left is the one you need to enter. Once inside, go upstairs to find a small room. Inside the room, you will find a bonus Gear Crate and a Cultist Treasure Chest located next to the wooden table.

To uncover the prized possessions desired by the Cultists, simply unlock the treasure chest.
