In City 20, various materials are essential, with Chicory being a key resource for early gameplay. This common plant is vital for crafting multiple items. Here’s how to acquire Chicory and its uses in City 20.
How to Obtain Chicory in City 20
Chicory can be found in forest and grassy areas. After stepping outside your home and following the path, you will come across some trees. Chicory drops from these trees and can be seen scattered on the ground.
However, finding it naturally is quite rare. You can approach a tree and interact with it by pressing the left mouse button; your character will shake the tree, which may cause items to fall. Although you will mainly receive branches, there’s a chance you might get some Chicory as well.
Alternatively, you can use a Makeshift Hatchet to chop down the tree, which increases your chances of collecting wood logs along with Chicory and branches. It’s worth noting, though, that cutting down the tree does not enhance your chances of obtaining Chicory; it simply offers a greater quantity of wood materials.
Uses of Chicory in City 20
Chicory is primarily used to craft Makeshift Beds and Makeshift Hatchets. You will need a minimum of seven Chicories to create one Makeshift Bed. Since the game is single-player, multiple beds are not necessary for other players. However, crafting Makeshift Hatchets will require a portion of your Chicory.
This is due to the fact that Makeshift Hatchets wear out quickly when you use them to chop down trees. Typically, a Makeshift Hatchet can fell only two to three trees at most. This situation can become quite frustrating, and you will need to gather a significant amount of Chicory to continually produce these tools.
