Among the numerous NPCs found throughout The Lands Between in Elden Ring, Latenna plays a significant role in an important sidequest. To locate her and learn about the questline she is connected to, follow these steps.
When dealing with multiple NPCs, the side quests in Elden Ring can become chaotic, especially since the game was released in 2022 without any markers on the map to indicate non-playable characters.
Despite numerous updates, the game still struggles to assist players with locating all of the NPCs. One particularly elusive NPC, Latenna, can be especially challenging to find. To make things easier, here is a comprehensive guide on Latenna’s whereabouts and other relevant information.
Latenna NPC Location in Elden Ring
The Slumbering Wolf’s Shack is where Latenna can be found in Elden Ring, situated in Liurnia of the Lakes. To reach this location, players must first defeat the Lakeside Crystal Cave dungeon in the Liurnia Swamp to the south.
Latenna is involved in the Village of the Albinaurics questline.
While it is possible to defeat this NPC, doing so will cause her questline to fail as you will need to converse with her several times. Additionally, she will not drop her Soul Ashes if killed upon first encountering her at the Slumbering Wolf’s Shack. It is advised that players avoid engaging in combat with her.
Latenna’s Journey in the Lands of Elden Ring
Latenna is currently participating in the Village of the Albinaurics questline, which was initiated by Albus, an NPC located in this area.
After speaking to Albus in the Village of the Albinaurics, it will be necessary for you to give the Haigtree Secret Medallion (Right) to her in the Slumbering Wolf’s Shack. This will earn Latenna’s trust, as she will see that you have been approved by Albus.
Latenna will request that the players escort her to the land of Miquella’s Haligtree, where she will transform into a Spirit summon known as Latenna the Labinauric. It is crucial that players speak to her before obtaining the Left part of the medallion, otherwise her death will result in the sidequest becoming uncompletable.
After she becomes a Spirit, players must defeat Commander Niall in Castle Sol in order to acquire the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Left). Obtaining both halves of the medallion will enable players to use the Grand Lift of Rold and reach the hidden Consecrated Snowfield.
The Apostate Derelict, also known as the secret area, can be found in the Consecrated Snowfield north section. In this area, players can speak with the giant Albinauric woman and complete her quest by summoning Latenna’s Spirit and receiving the Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.
