While locating food such as apples, mushrooms, and other edibles is relatively easy, finding drinks or water can be challenging if you’re unaware of the right locations.

To satisfy your thirst, you will often need some form of water. As you begin exploring the map, you will gather materials for crafting and may even encounter other NPCs and factions within your first hour of gameplay.

However, you’ll quickly start to lose hunger and thirst. The gameplay kicks off with some food available in your refrigerator, as noted by Goga, but he doesn’t provide guidance on where to find water. Fortunately, there’s a water source right outside your home.

You’ll find a well situated between your house and Goga’s. By interacting with it, you’ll notice water in the well’s center. You can drink from the well and wait for it to replenish. It may not be the most obvious choice, as Goga misleads you with a generator quest at the beginning of the game.

It would be quite inconvenient if the only method to hydrate was by drinking directly from the well. Luckily, you can collect various containers, such as empty bottles, and fill them with water. Cleaning them beforehand is unnecessary.

Interact with the well and locate an empty bottle in your inventory. When the window for the water well is open, select your water bottle and look for the option “fill container” to fill it with water from the well.

Surprisingly, if you find other containers throughout the game world, you can also fill those with water. For instance, an empty fuel tank can be filled in the same manner, providing you with even more water capacity.

Having a steady supply of water is essential for survival. Moreover, you will also require water for crafting items when a well isn’t accessible. It’s advisable to keep some water in your inventory at all times.
