To complete the Fox questline, simply follow these steps-

  1. Locate and engage with the remaining Fox Spirit in the Forest of Felicity, located near the entrance of the shrine.
  2. Acquire the Snow Fox Brush and make your way to the New Thunderclap Temple.
  3. As you approach the Temple Entrance, you will notice a monk in prayer before a grand Buddha statue.
  4. After a short cutscene, confront the monk, defeat him, and acquire his spirit.
  5. Retrieve the Snow Fox Brush (accessory) from the fox spirit remnant in the Forest of Felicity.

The Snow Fox Brush, an accessory that allows for longer transformations, can be acquired through completing the Fox Spirit questline. This questline begins in the Forest of Felicity, which is located within the Valley of Ecstasy.

The only challenging aspect of this quest is navigating the routes, but eventually you will reach the final battle against Non-Void. This elusive monk is a secret Boss who drops a spirit that allows you to transform into a Non-Void.

In order to start the Fox Spirit side quest, you must finish the prerequisites and main quest in the first two Chapters. Once you reach the third Chapter, the quest will become available to you. This will happen when you reach the Valley Ecstacy section, which is where the quest takes place.

To reach the Forest of Felicity, teleport to the Valley of Ecstacy and make your way to the snowy slide slope. This will lead you to the end where you will find the shrine gates of the Keeper’s Shrine.

The body lies beside the shrine gate, and you have the opportunity to engage with it and listen to the story of the fox spirit. In its human form, the fox mourns its own demise and implores you to seek vengeance against the scholar who killed it, now living as a monk.

After the discussion, proceed to the dead body and inspect it. The fox guai will allow you to don its skin, which will enable you to transform into a fox (this is crucial for reaching the whereabouts of the non-void monk later on). Additionally, you will be given the Snow Fox Brush.

To seek revenge for the fox guai, one must make their way to the temple where the monk resides. By examining the corpse and following the wooden path, you will come across stone statues that will guide you to the correct turn.

Continue along these routes in the same manner and make your way through the snowy landscape. Eventually, you will reach archways. Proceed through them until you reach one that is illuminated by lit braziers. At this point, turn left and you will find yourself at the Shrine of the Longevity Road Keeper.

Although we have reached the shrine, Wukong’s journey is far from over. We are only halfway through. If you look up from the shrine, you will see a set of stairs leading upwards. By climbing those stairs, you will arrive at the New Thunderclap Temple.

If this is your first time visiting this location, you will encounter a boss that must be defeated. Once you have defeated the boss, proceed to activate the Temple Entrance Keeper’s Shrine and continue to the left where there is a group of buildings.

You will encounter two staircases in the near future, one on the left and one on the right. Choose the left staircase and climb it to reach the upper level. To reach the top of the building, you will need to ascend another set of stairs. From there, you will have a view of the balcony.

In front of the balcony, there is a wooden bridge that you must cross before taking the stairs to the left. This will ultimately lead you to the Yaoguai Chief Non-Void, completing the quest’s objective.

It can be considered relatively simple to defeat the Non-Void boss. The only thing to be cautious of is the talisman paper tornado attack, a powerful AOE. However, if you have reached Chapter 3, you can be confident that it will not present any challenges.

In order to render him defenseless and unable to retaliate, you can repeatedly stagger him, leaving him vulnerable to attacks. This strategy is effective against side bosses in various chapters throughout the game.

Upon defeating Non-Void, you will acquire his spirit. This will allow you to temporarily transform into Non-Void. Once Non-Void is added to your collection, the only remaining task is to report your completion to the quest giver – the corpse of the fox guai.

Head back to the Keeper’s Shrine in the Forest of Felicity and approach the fox guai. Inform it of your victory over the Non-Void and it will be able to move on from samsara. As a reward, you will receive the “Snow Fox Brush”Curios, an accessory that prolongs the duration of your transformations.
