How to Get Half-Price Coffee at Dunkin Donuts: Insider Tips from a Customer

A woman has gone viral after sharing her method for obtaining cheap coffee each time she visits Dunkin’, leaving customers amazed by the hack.

Jocelyn took to TikTok to reveal her tip, aimed at helping fellow customers save money on future coffee purchases. The trick? Buying a reusable Dunkin’ coffee cup to use during visits to the chain.

In her video, filmed from her car, Jocelyn holds up a pink Dunkin’ tumbler filled with iced coffee.

“Had to call you out Sandra,” she wrote in the video’s caption. “Cause how dare you not tell me and save me some money!”

In the clip, she addressed viewers: “To my Dunkin’ friend, why didn’t you ever tell me that I could buy this amazing cup and get half the price for a coffee this entire time, Sandra?” Since its release at the start of September, the video has garnered nearly 400,000 views.

Viewers were equally astonished to learn about the deal, with comments like: “Bruh I been wasting so much money, thank you for this.”

“Wait, is this every time you go?” one user asked, to which Jocelyn confirmed that the deal applies to every visit.

Some users were already aware of the discount and had been using it for years: “I thought y’all knew this; if y’all bring your refill cups (it doesn’t have to be a Dunkin’ cup) you get charged much less… been this way for over a decade.”

“Well, I was yesterday years old when I found out, and that’s because they put up a sign,” Jocelyn responded.

However, one user indicated that the deal wasn’t available at her local Dunkin’, suggesting it may only be offered at specific locations: “I bought a cup, and they don’t do ½.”

Dunkin’ has launched numerous reusable cups over the years.

Currently, it appears that Dunkin’ offers this deal at select ‘Green Stores.’ These stores first opened in 2008, featuring “green” initiatives like innovative recycling programs and food donations to local food banks.

Moreover, Green Dunkin’ Donuts stores participate in the ‘Reusable Mug Program,’ encouraging customers to bring their own mugs for a discount on beverage purchases.

Dunkin’ isn’t the only coffee chain that provides discounts for using reusable cups. Both Starbucks and Tim Hortons, two of America’s popular coffee chains, offer $0.10 discounts for customers bringing their personal cups to stores.

If you’re looking for additional reusable cups to enhance your collection, Starbucks has launched their fall 2024 line, featuring the much-anticipated return of the iconic slime drip cup.
