Baldur’s Gate 3 offers players a multitude of opportunities to acquire buffs through quests, and the encounter with Abdirak is among the first you will encounter starting in Act 1.
The first crucial piece of information is your commitment to infiltrating Goblin Camp without causing chaos. So here’s how to find Abdirak and how to get Loviatar’s Blessing in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Where to find Abdirak in Baldur’s Gate 3
Abdirak is found in the ruined Temple of Selun in Act 1 of Baldur’s Gate 3, in a room to the right of the entrance.
To get to Abdirak, you must reach Goblin Camp. Step by step, here’s how to find it:
- Go to the Goblin Camp west of the Devastated Village.
- Enter the Camp and head north.
- Pass through the dilapidated wooden doors on your way.
- Enter the Ruined Temple and go straight.
- As you enter the main room of the Temple, turn right.
- When you reach the top of the stairs, turn immediately left.
- Abdirak will be in the second room on the right.
If you explore the main room of the Ruined Temple, you can also find Volo. Abdirak is in the room right next to the Bard.
How to get Loviatar’s Blessing from Abdirak
Baldur’s Gate 3 players who wish to obtain Loviatar’s Blessing must let Abdirak torture them at least three times.
When you first meet Abdirak, he immediately lets you know that he is a servant of the Goddess of Pain Loviatar. He will quickly offer to hit you with a sledgehammer so you can embrace your pain, and if you want the blessing, you must accept.
More specifically, you must pass Intimidation and Performance checks three times while he hits you to convince him that you’re having a good time. Whether that’s the case or not, well, it doesn’t matter. Once you manage to pass these tests, you will be blessed with Loviatar’s Blessing.
You will be blessed by Abdirak once you pass the tests.
Loviatar’s Blessing gives you the Loviatar’s Love condition. This bonus means that when you have less than 30% of your maximum life, you benefit from +2 to attack rolls and saving throws based on wisdom.
Here are some other tips to keep in mind when getting the blessing:
- Do not choose a Constitution saving throw, as this will result in failure.
- If you’re about to die, he’ll let you heal yourself before hitting you again.
- Abdirak is equipped with a unique mace capable of dealing necrotic damage. You can obtain this weapon by stealing it or killing Abdirak.
