The recent release of the 1.6 update for Stardew Valley brought a plethora of new resources to gather, activities to partake in, and hidden surprises to uncover. Among these, the Meowmere sword from Terraria stands out as one of the most enigmatic and impressive secrets. Although obtaining this legendary sword may require a lengthy and challenging journey, we have compiled all the necessary steps for you to acquire it and add it to your arsenal in Stardew Valley.
Obtaining the Meowmere Sword from Terraria in Stardew Valley
Acquiring the Meowmere Sword requires a three-step process. The first step involves obtaining an Ancient Doll. Once you have the doll, you must then sacrifice it by throwing it into a pool of lava. This can be done at any pool of lava, but the one on floor 100 of the Mines will be the first accessible to you. Upon tossing the doll into the molten pool, a colossal Bone Serpent (also from Terraria) will emerge, dropping an item known as the Far Away Stone directly into your hands.
Take the Far Away Stone to the basement of the Wizard and position it on the tree stump located on the right side of the room. This action will result in the opening of a mysterious portal, from which a cat will emerge. As a result, you will become the proud owner of the highly sought-after Meowmere Sword!
While the process may seem straightforward, it can actually be quite time-consuming to begin this journey. The main obstacle to overcome is locating an Ancient Doll in the first place.
Discovering Ancient Dolls in Stardew Valley
Stardew Valley is home to a scarce and valuable item known as the Ancient Doll. These artifacts can be stumbled upon in fishing treasure chests or artifact troves if you’re fortunate enough. Alternatively, a more reliable method of finding them is by excavating artifact spots scattered throughout the valley. These spots can be identified by three worms protruding from the ground. Simply use your hoe to loosen up the soil and reveal the hidden treasure beneath.
Throughout the year, artifacts can be found in every area of Stardew Valley. However, if you are specifically seeking an Ancient Doll, the most likely places to find one are the Mountain Lake area, the Bus Stop, Cindersap Forest, and the Pelican Town Center. Out of these locations, the Bus Stop and Cindersap Forest offer the best chances of unearthing an Ancient Doll.
Despite this, the likelihood of discovering one is only about 2.5%, meaning you may need to devote a considerable amount of time to locating your Ancient Doll. However, by consistently visiting these areas and excavating any artifact spots you come across, you will eventually uncover your Ancient Doll.
Obtaining the Far Away Stone
The most challenging aspect of the Meowmere quest is obtaining an Ancient Doll. However, this task becomes much easier if you have not yet reached floor 100 of the Mines. Once you have, all you need to do is ride the elevator and toss your Ancient Doll into the fiery pits to complete the quest.
Remember to stop by the Adventurer’s Guild and browse their selection of weapons and gear before continuing your journey through the Mines. Having top-notch equipment and a well-stocked supply of snacks is crucial for surviving the challenges ahead.
In addition, throwing the Ancient Doll into one of the lava pits located in the Volcano Dungeon on Ginger Island is also an option. However, reaching Ginger Island is a lengthy quest on its own, whereas accessing the Mines is a simpler task.
Obtaining the Meowmere Sword
To complete the quest, you must first obtain the Far Away Stone and then make your way to the Wizard’s basement. However, the Wizard is selective about who he allows into his basement. In order to gain entry, you must have a minimum of three hearts with the Wizard, which can only be achieved by regularly talking to him and giving him his favorite gifts. The Wizard has a particular fondness for Purple Mushrooms, Void Essence, Super Cucumbers, and Solar Essence, so make sure to shower him with these items to quickly build a strong friendship with him.
Upon entering the tower, proceed towards the small hatch located along the back wall in order to gain access to the basement. Once inside, place the Far Away Stone on the tree-like pillar situated on the far right and claim your epic new sword.
With 359 characters, this paragraph describes the Meowmere Sword, a level four weapon with 20 – 20 damage, +4 speed, and +2 weight. Not only does it have impressive stats, but it also looks incredibly cute. Among the many new additions in the 1.6 update for Stardew Valley, such as Powdermelon, Carrots, and Broccoli, discovering the Meowmere Sword is undoubtedly the most enjoyable secret.
