How to get Rayquaza in Pokémon Go
In Pokémon Go, Rayquaza can be captured when defeated in 5-Star Raids. The same goes for its Mega Evolution, which can be encountered in Mega Raids, giving you the chance to capture Rayquaza after beating it.
In the past, Rayquaza has also been available as a reward for completing Timed Research Tasks, as was the case during the Hoenn Celebration 2021 event. However, currently, Rayquaza is not available in any Raids, and we don’t know when it will be featured again.
Rayquaza Raids are often featured during special events, such as Weather Week. This means that you will have opportunities to encounter a Rayquaza in the future, even if you don’t have one now.
Rayquaza can be traded with another player, but be warned that this trade will cost you a ridiculous amount of Stardust, depending on the friendship level in the game.
Unfortunately, Rayquaza cannot be captured in the wild, nor hatched from Pokémon Eggs.
