How to Handle Gold Beetles in Metaphor: ReFantazio Guide

So, you’ve stumbled upon Gold Beetles in Metaphor: ReFantazio and now you’re left thinking, “What’s the purpose of these?”

Well, it turns out these shiny little insects aren’t just trinkets to fill up your inventory. There’s an NPC somewhere in the game eager to swap your beetles for unique rewards.

However, the journey isn’t as straightforward as it seems. With a total of 49 beetles scattered throughout the kingdom, you’ll embark on an adventurous scavenger hunt to collect them all. And believe me, they aren’t just waiting to be picked up!

What Can You Do with Gold Beetles?

You can gather Gold Beetles and trade them for rewards from Elderly Entomophile, an NPC located in the Arenafront Wharf area of Port Brilehaven.

Upon your first encounter with him (or perhaps a second if you’re familiar from a less fortunate quest), he presents you with Arcane Dragonblood, a consumable that aids in restoring MP.

From that point onward, handing over your Gold Beetles will earn you some exceptional rewards that are otherwise unavailable in the game.

These Gold Beetles are hidden throughout the kingdom, both within dungeons and in urban areas. There are 49 in total, but don’t expect them to be in plain sight!
