In Content Warning, a multiplayer game, you will need to communicate with your teammates using your microphone. Unfortunately, you may encounter individuals who are unnecessarily rude or toxic in the game. In these situations, it is better to simply mute them.
Silencing other players in your lobby is a simple solution to combat verbal toxicity in the game. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it, with a Content Warning included.
How to Mute Other Players
To mute a player in Content Warning, simply press the ESC button and adjust the volume slider to the left to mute them from the lobby’s list of players.
The process for muting players in Content Warning is as follows:
- Press the ESC button on your keyboard to bring out the pause menu
- Select the player you want to mute from the list of names in there
- Drag the volume circle all the way to the left to mute them in the game
It is possible to do this with any player of your choice, however, it is important to note that you will not receive any form of verbal communication from them during the session.
Nevertheless, Content Warning relies heavily on voice chat, so completely muting an individual could put you at a disadvantage. This is why it may be beneficial to lower their volume instead, allowing you to at least hear their next move in the game.
How to mute yourself in a Content Warning
To mute yourself in Content Warning instead of muting others, simply adjust your in-game audio settings to zero volume.
Simply reduce your volume to zero to mute yourself.
Here’s the method for muting yourself in Content Warning:
- Head over to the Options tab from the main menu
- Select Audio from the list on top and move down
- Reduce the Voice Volume to zero
Furthermore, you have the option to enable the Push to Talk feature, which is ideal if you prefer not to be continuously muted during Content Warning.
