The Axial Conduit can be located while fighting against the Infernal Hordes, which is Season 5’s latest rogue-like endgame mode. Nevertheless, in order to access this mode, you must first finish The Eyes of the Enemy questline at World Tier 3: Nightmare difficulty.

You’ll face multiple enemy waves in the Infernal Hordes mode.

Your objective after acquiring the Infernal Compass is to use it to unlock the portal to the Infernal Hordes. Your aim is to eliminate as many demons as possible in order to accumulate Burning Aether. This will act as a type of currency in this mode, which can then be traded for Spoils of Hell. These may potentially contain one of the new Unique Items that have been introduced this season.

To have a chance at obtaining the Axial Conduit in Diablo 4, you will need a certain amount of Burning Aether.

Axial Conduit explained

  • Unique Pants
  • 359 Item Power
  • 359 Armor
  • +13.5 Chance for Chain Lightning Projectiles to Cast Twice (13-17.5)%
  • 11% Damage Reduction (9-11)%
  • 21.5% Resource Generation and Maximum (185-27.5)%
  • +1 to Chain Lightning (1-2)
  • Chain Lightning will orbit around you and then target up to 3 enemies before returning. Upon its return, it will consume 6 Mana from you for each active Chain Lightning. Once a total of 66 Mana has been drained, the bolt will detonate and deal (512-2046) Lightning Damage.
  • If you lack sufficient Mana for Chain Lightning to drain, it will expire.

The Axial Conduit is a one-of-a-kind ancestral pants item that enhances Resource Generation, reduces Damage, and grants an additional rank to Chain Lightning.

These statistics are particularly useful for farming challenging levels in the Infernal Hordes, as they allow Chain Lightning to alternate between targeting enemies, depleting mana, and causing additional Lightning Damage with its explosions.

The recent release of Diablo 4 Season 5 has brought with it a brand new questline that seamlessly ties into the upcoming Vessel of Hatred DLC. As a result, players can now thoroughly test their builds in the challenging Hellbreach Dungeons and against the formidable Infernal Hordes to prepare for the highly anticipated arrival of the Spiritborn class.
