How to Catch Hitmonlee in Pokemon Go
Hitmonlee has been available in the game since it was first launched in 2016 and players have had various opportunities to catch it. However, the only way to obtain one is by encountering it as a wild spawn.
Fortunately, the spawn rates of both Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan will be heightened during the designated Spotlight Hour on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the local time zone.
Gamers will be presented with an opportunity to catch a multitude of Hitmonlee creatures and receive additional rewards, including double Candy for transferring Pokemon.
Before, Hitmonlee could be obtained by hatching it from 10 km Eggs, encountering it as a Tier 1 Raid Boss, completing Field Research Tasks such as “Catch 7 Fighting-type Pokemon: Mythic Blade,”or rescuing its Shadow form from Team GO Rocket grunts.
Is Hitmonlee Available as a Shiny Pokemon in Pokemon Go?
It is true that Shiny Hitmonlee can be found in Pokemon Go, as it was introduced to the game during the Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto in 2021.
During the Spotlight Hour, players will have a higher likelihood of encountering Hitmonlee’s Shiny form, which is easily identifiable by its green body, resembling an alien.
Evolving Tyrogue into Hitmonlee in Pokemon Go
Prior to the release of Gen 2, Hitmonlee was the only member of its family. However, with the addition of the baby Pokemon Tyrogue and the Johto Pokedex, it gained an evolution.
Tyrogue can only be acquired by hatching it from Eggs and can evolve into a different Pokemon depending on its IVs. To evolve Tyrogue into Hitmonlee, its ATK IV must be the highest and it also requires 25 Candy to be fed to it.
Remember that if its top IV is DEF, it will transform into Hitmonchan, while a top STA IV will result in Hitmontop evolution.
