How to Obtain Link’s Outfit in Stardew Valley

For those who enjoy both The Legend of Zelda and Stardew Valley, why not merge your passions and pretend to be Link while tending to your farm chores? While Stardew Valley offers a variety of hats and garments to choose from, there is one that closely resembles the well-known green tunic and cap of Link from The Legend of Zelda. Here’s a guide on acquiring Link’s Outfit in Stardew Valley.

Obtaining Link’s Tunic in Stardew Valley

The Link outfit in Stardew Valley is comprised of three parts, with the Green Tunic being the ideal starting point. This tunic, which is perfect for any adventurer, can be crafted by combining Cloth and an Ancient Sword at the Sewing Machine.

It may take some time to find the Ancient Sword, which is the most challenging item to obtain in the set. This item is not a weapon, but rather an Artifact that can be unearthed from Artifact Spots, Fishing Treasure Chests, or discovered in Artifact Troves.

Artifact Troves are similar to Geodes but for Artifacts, making them an excellent method for obtaining new Artifacts that you may not have acquired yet. They can be obtained by trading 5x Omni Geodes with the Desert Trader. Keep in mind that the contents of Artifact Troves are random, so it may not always be the most effective means of obtaining a specific item like the Ancient Sword.

The primary method for discovering Artifacts in the Valley is through uncovering Artifact Spots. If you come across three worms protruding from the ground, it is a clear sign that there is something hidden beneath them. Use your Hoe or Pickaxe to extract the item by hitting the worms.

There are Artifact Spots scattered across Pelican Town, but if you’re searching for the Ancient Sword, it’s best to focus on the Cindersap Forest or Mountain area. These are the only two locations where the Ancient Sword can be found.

Getting Link’s Hat in Stardew Valley

Obtaining Link’s hat, also known as the Gnome’s Cap in Stardew Valley, is a more challenging task. It can be obtained by buying it from the Hat Mouse located at the bottom of Cindersap Forest, but only after successfully crafting every item in the game and achieving the ‘Craft Master’ status.

Obtaining the Craft Master achievement is no easy task, especially since there is no comprehensive list available to keep track of the items you have crafted. However, there is a workaround to find this information in the settings. Simply enable the ‘Show Advanced Crafting Information’ option in the Options tab of the menu. This will enable you to hover over any item in the crafting menu and see the number of times you have crafted it before. If there is no number displayed, it means you have not crafted that item yet.

Once you achieve the status of Master Crafter, make your way to the Hat Mouse’s shop and purchase the Gnome’s Cap for 5000g.

How to Obtain Link’s Shorts in Stardew Valley

To achieve Link’s iconic appearance in Stardew Valley, the final clothing item you will require is a pair of shorts. These can be any type of shorts, pants, or even a skirt if you prefer. The key element to make your selected bottoms fit the role is some Clay.

The determining factor in whether you should wear pants or shorts will be based on which version of Link you wish to imitate. To create shorts, you can use Cloth and either a Grape, Blueberry, Melon, or Hot Pepper. For pants, simply combine Cloth with a Powdermelon, Cranberry, Pineapple, Strawberry, or Wild Plum.

Once your base is prepared, use the Sewing Machine to dye it brown with Clay. You can repeat this process as many times as necessary to match the sleeves of your Green Tunic. This will ensure the perfect shade of brown.

To play as Link in Stardew Valley, simply equip your items from the inventory tab in the menu. Along with Link’s iconic outfit, you can also obtain a legendary sword from Terraria. While it may not be the Master Sword, the Meowmere would still complement your new look perfectly.
