Fortnite has reintroduced the Shield Breaker EMP grenades to the loot pool as an effective way to counter War Machine’s Arsenal in Chapter 5 Season 4.
In the season’s first major update, v31.10, Epic has brought back the Shield Breaker EMP grenades. These grenades were helpful in countering Nitro Cars last season, but they are now reported to also disable War Machine’s Arsenal equipment, such as the Auto Turret, Hover Jets, and Hand Cannons.

How to Acquire the Shield Breaker EMP in Chapter 5 Season 4
To obtain the Shield Breaker EMP in Fortnite during Chapter 5 Season 4, you can acquire it as ground loot or inside loot chests, supply drones, Doom chests, and Avengers chests located throughout the Battle Royale map.
The Shield Breaker EMPs can be found easily across the Chapter 5 Season 4 island.
Throwing the EMP grenade will result in an explosion, which will damage shields and temporarily disable electrical equipment and vehicles. When used against enemies, each grenade inflicts 80 Shield damage and you can store up to six EMP grenades in a single weapon slot.
