In Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, this guide covers obtaining and the purposes of Sparklestone.
Guide to Obtaining Sparklestone in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes
Sparklestone can be acquired from Red Wyvern and Phantombird, both of which can be found in the second zone of the Dappled Forest in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. This item is not obtainable through gathering points or guild missions.
Your HQ is located near the Dappled Forest. The second zone will become available once you reach Hishahn in the story. This area is home to Red Wyvern and Phantombird, both of which are known to appear in battles together.
Piercing attacks are effective against both Red Wyvern and Phantombird.
Use the Lucky Badge to Increase Your Drop Rate
The drop rate for Sparklestone from either of the enemies is approximately 5%. To improve your chances of obtaining one, equip a Lucky Badge (or Super Lucky Badge) on one of your party members. A Lucky Badge increases the drop rate by 10%, while a Super Lucky Badge increases it by 50%. These effects can be combined, so equipping both will give you a 60% increase in drop rate.
The Lucky Badge can be found in the Seaside Cavern near Hishahn, while the Super Lucky Badge is located in the Runebarrows as part of CJ’s recruitment quest, around the midway point of the game. Obtaining the Lucky Badge early on is the most efficient way to farm for Sparklestone. It is also important to acquire and keep at least one Sparklestone as soon as possible so that you can use it to recruit another character.
What Sparklestone is Used For in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes
Sparklestone serves two primary purposes in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. The first is to be sold for currency. While it can also be equipped as an accessory, its only benefit is a slight increase of 1 point in physical defense. The item’s description even suggests that it is more valuable as a sale item rather than for use in battles. Players can easily sell Sparklestone for 1500 baqua each, making it a lucrative source of income in the early stages of the game.
The second purpose of Sparklestone is to enlist Squash, the accessory seller. Squash can be found in the Treefolk Village and will only join your team if you provide him with a Sparklestone. It is important to acquire your accessory seller before obtaining the Super Lucky Badge, so make your way to the Seaside Cavern to obtain the regular Lucky Badge. Defeat the Red Wyvern and Phantombird until you obtain a Sparklestone and then deliver it to Squash to recruit him.
Once you have acquired enough Sparklestones, you may want to focus on obtaining another useful item: Excellent Lacquer.
