In The Rogue Prince of Persia, Spirit Glimmers are the primary currency used for advancing your progression. Your objective is to obtain as many Spirit Glimmers as possible and continue strengthening the Prince through upgrades. The most effective method for acquiring Spirit Glimmers and being able to afford new Medallions and upgrades in the game is outlined below.
Where to Find Spirit Glimmers in The Rogue Prince of Persia
There are a total of three methods for acquiring Spirit Glimmers:
- Opening equipment chests and normal chests
- Eliminating enemies
- Random Spirit Glimmer item spawns
The most reliable method for obtaining Spirit Glimmers is by defeating enemies. Each enemy will yield 1 or 2 Spirit Glimmers, but these do not automatically go to you. Instead, you must deposit them into a Spirit Glimmer Cauldron, which can be found in the image above.
Therefore, it is important to exercise caution while carrying a large amount of Spirit Glimmer, as you can always return them to the Oasis for later use. This is indicated by the presence of two Spirit Glimmer values in the upper-right corner of your screen.
The Spirit Glimmer currently in your possession is highlighted in white on the left. Once you return it to the Oasis, the values will transfer to the right side, highlighted in purple. In your next playthrough, you will have access to this Spirit Glimmer in shops upon dying.
If you have skipped some enemies and come across a Spirit Glimmer Cauldron, you can return to the area to defeat the enemies and deposit more Spirit Glimmers at the Oasis. This will allow you to gather more resources for your journey.
To quickly acquire Spirit Glimmers, the most effective approach is to continuously replay the initial stage until you come across the first Spirit Glimmer Cauldron. Once you locate one, deposit a portion and attempt to end your run. It may not be the most aesthetically pleasing method, but it will save you time if your goal is to obtain Spirit Glimmers quickly.
What are Spirit Glimmers Used For?
Sukhra and Paachi’s shops both accept Spirit Glimmers as payment for upgrades. Sukhra’s Forge offers weapon blueprints for purchase once they have been unlocked, and many of them can be found in equipment chests.
Once you have acquired a weapon, it will become visible during your playthrough. The same rule applies to Paachi’s shop, except it is for Medallions. Additionally, Paachi sells a healing potion that enables you to boost your maximum health. However, you must still locate the item during your playthrough in order to utilize it.
