In Season 4, Diablo 4 has introduced the Stygian Stones as additional resources for players to use in endgame activities. However, obtaining these stones can prove to be challenging for new players. Here’s a guide on how to acquire Stygian Stones in Diablo 4.
Tips for Locating Stygian Stones in Diablo 4
In order to obtain Stygian Stones, Diablo 4 players must complete runs in The Pit of the Artificers. This newly introduced activity in Season 4 is specifically designed for players who have reached the endgame.
In The Pit of the Artificers, players must complete a time-trial dungeon within 10 minutes by defeating a specific number of enemies and a boss. Any deaths will result in a deduction from the allotted time. The dungeon consists of 200 Tiers, with the first tier featuring level 100 enemies.
Nevertheless, only the player who uses the Runeshard to activate The Pit will obtain the Stygian Stone upon finishing. Other members of the party will still receive Masterworking materials, but not the Stygian Stone.
How to Use Stygian Stones in Diablo 4
In Diablo 4, Stygian Stones serve the purpose of summoning Tormented Bosses. These bosses are tougher versions of the game’s endgame bosses, including the recently added Andariel boss in Season 4. While regular bosses are at level 100, Tormented Bosses boast a formidable level of 200.
The Tormented Bosses are more challenging and consequently, summoning them requires a significant amount of resources. For instance, the summoning of Tormented Andariel necessitates six Pincushioned Dolls, six Sandscorched Shackles, and two Stygian Stones.
This entails using two Runeshards and completing two runs in The Pit of the Artificers in order to have a single opportunity to face Tormented Andariel. To make the most of this, players should team up with others who are also interested in challenging these Tormented Bosses and complete four runs, with each person using their own materials, to efficiently obtain the desired loot.
