The recent addition of the Shadow of Erdtree DLC brings a multitude of fresh items and weapons to the game, among them the formidable Blade of Damnation. This remarkable Greatsword grants its wielder the divine abilities of the Lord of the Frenzied Flame.
Obtaining it, unfortunately, is no simple feat. The first step is defeating its original owner and claiming it as a reward. However, locating the owner can be a challenging task on its own.
How to get the Greatsword of Damnation in Elden Ring DLC?
To obtain the Blade of Damnation, players must defeat the Elden Ring DLC boss, Midra, also known as the Lord of Frenzied Flame. Midra can be encountered in Midra’s Manse, located within Abyssal Woods in the central-eastern area of the realm of the Shadows.
Given that you have already discovered the Woodland Trail location of serenity within the Abyssal Woods, let us begin from this reference point.
If you are unable to access this location, don’t worry. This guide is designed to assist you. If you have already discovered the Midra’s Manse site of grace, feel free to skip ahead to part three of the guide.
Begin at the Woodland Trail entrance and proceed in a westerly direction until you reach the expansive open space. Skillfully maneuver around the adversaries in this region, continue westward, and pass through the colossal arch entrance.
After completing your task, continue walking along the pathway until you encounter another group of similar enemies. Quietly bypass them and proceed towards the southwest.
In the near future, you will encounter a mountainous landscape. Ascend the trail to the east and descend once more.
Upon arrival, a large building will come into view. Proceed towards it and unlatch the main gate to reveal Midra’s Manse.
Finding Midra, Lord Of Frenzied Flame in Elden Ring DLC
Once you enter Midra’s Manse, simply touch the grace site directly in front of you. Then, shift your gaze to the east and strike the painting on the wall. This will reveal a secret pathway.
To reach the lever, proceed straight ahead, turn right, and pass through the arch gateway on the left. Then, make a loop back to the right and the lever will be in front of you.
Press the lever, then retrace your steps to discover a previously hidden pathway behind a bookshelf.
Enter this pathway and ascend the ladder. Continue west to find another ladder. Ascend that one as well.
Proceed to traverse the wooden beam path and reach the following grace site.
Following that, continue straight and descend. Then, turn around and access the private room behind you.
Assail the painting within this room to reveal an additional secret pathway.
Enter the building and ascend the stairs, followed by the ladder to your right.
Push the lever, descend, and proceed through the gate to the west.
As you continue up the stairs and pass through several small rooms, you will eventually reach a grand hall where the boss, Midra, Lord Of Frenzied Flame awaits. Defeat him to claim his weapon as your own.
