How to Obtain the Boss Obsidian Skin in Fortnite

Fortnite unintentionally revealed the upcoming Boss Obsidian skin in a post that has since been removed from its X account on July 28. This immediately sparked speculation among the community that it would soon be available in the in-game store.

The post stated: “Embark on a high-flying adventure as Boss Obsidian. I am currently ignoring a certain someone, but don’t forget to check out this new Outfit in the shop.”

Even though it showcases images of Deadpool, the skin is an Epic original Outfit that bears a striking resemblance to the classic Black Knight skin, complete with black medieval armor and red accents.

Discover the steps to obtain the Boss Obsidian skin in Fortnite during Chapter 5 Season 3, following Epic’s accidental announcement of the outfit.

Shortly after, Epic retracted their announcement, citing that their excitement to share You-know-who’s drawings had caused an accidental premature release. They promised that Boss Obsidian would still be available in the Shop in the near future.

Despite HYPEX and other reliable sources speculating that Boss Obsidian will be released tomorrow, the exact date of its arrival in the game remains uncertain.

Despite the widespread belief that the Deadpool text and images used to promote the brand-new skins are unrelated, nothing else has been revealed besides the posted skin reveal.

Epic’s accidental reveal of Boss Obsidian during Chapter 5 Season 3 was not the only skin that was mistakenly disclosed. Prior to the release of the Pirates of the Caribbean collab, players were able to purchase the Jack Sparrow and the Cursed Sails Pass event in the game, which was later removed.

Furthermore, on July 27, the long-awaited Deadpool and Wolverine skins were finally released in Fortnite, commemorating the MCU movie with multiple cosmetic bundles available for players to obtain.
