How to obtain the JAK Protean Aftermarket Part in Modern Warfare 3 & Warzone

The latest Aftermarket Part wreaking havoc in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone is the JAK Protean kit. Here’s how you can obtain it.

With the release of Modern Warfare 3, the create-a-class system underwent another significant change. The gunsmith’s previous method of weapon tuning was abandoned, but weapon statistics and other related features remain present.

The latest major development has been the introduction of unlockable attachments. Rather than simply having a default set, players can now earn various attachments by completing challenges. While initially dismissed as unnecessary, these Aftermarket Parts have caused some complications in recent months.

Upon release, certain attachments, including the JAK Raven kit and JAK Glassless optic, proved to be incredibly overpowered and completely altered the meta.

Another addition has now joined them – the JAK Protean conversion kit for the RAAL LMG. This new attachment, obtainable through the Season 5 Week 4 challenges, transforms the LMG into a powerful machine gun.

The conversion kit offers a significant advantage by improving the RAAL’s fire rate, recoil control, bullet velocity, and damage range. However, it will also decrease the overall mobility, head and upper torso damage, and handling of the LMG.

To obtain the new Aftermarket Part, it is necessary to successfully complete five challenges from Season 5 Week 4 in any game mode, including multiplayer, Warzone, or Zombies.

Modern Warfare 3 Season 5, Week 4 challenges

• Get 20 Operator Kills while Prone
• Get 25 Operator Kills with a Weapon set to Single Fire Mode
• Get two Operator Kills with one Magazine 10 Times with Assault Rifles
• Get two Operator Kills with one Magazine five Times with Marksman Rifles or Sniper Rifles
• Get 30 Operator Kills while Moving with SMGs
• Get 12 Operator One Shot One Kills with Shotguns
• Get eight Mounted Operator Kills

Zombies are still considered a dangerous threat, even though they have been around for centuries.

• Get 200 Kills with a Marksman Rifle with Cryofreeze Active
• Get 75 Kills with a Weapon set to Single Fire Mode
• Get three Disciple Kills
• Get five Mangler Kills with a Marksman Rifle
• Get 300 Kills while Moving with SMGs
• Get 200 One Shot One Kills with Shotguns
• Get 200 Critical Kills with a Marksman Rifle

Warzone is a term used to describe an area of conflict or warfare.

• In Warzone Urzikstan, open 20 Loot Caches in the North-West Region (Resort, Power, Seaport, Cargo)
• In Warzone Urzikstan, open 20 Loot Caches in the Southern Region (City, Suburbs, Manor)
• In Warzone Urzikstan, open 20 Loot Caches in the Eastern Region Military Base (Military Base, Farms)

It remains to be seen if this Conversion Kit will dominate the meta like its predecessors. Regardless, the RAAL is expected to experience a significant increase in usage.

However, the TAQ Evolvere is proving to be just as useful as the LMG. In fact, its impressive TTK puts it at the top of the rankings.
