The Minigun has made a comeback in Fortnite, and it is now available on the Chapter 5 Season 3 island to combat the widespread use of Nitro cars and the current meta.
The last week of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 has begun, and a fresh season will begin next week. To ensure that the gameplay remains as thrilling as it has been throughout the season, Epic has introduced a powerful new weapon to combat the overpowered vehicles that roam the Battle Royale island.
The Minigun has been reintroduced and is currently obtainable on the Chapter 5 Season 3 island. This rapid-firing, fully automatic machine gun is capable of inflicting significant “pray and spray”damage with its mini-bullets from the magazine.

How to get Minigun in Fortnite
Minigun can be found around the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 in Rare rarity.
The unvaulted Minigun is exclusively available in Rare (blue) rarity on the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 map, and can be obtained as floor loot, from loot chests, supply drones, or through Fall Guys loot drops. It is currently limited to Battle Royale and Zero Build game modes.
Equipping the Minigun will be just like equipping any other weapon, as it only requires one weapon slot. The weapon’s stats are listed below:
- DPS – 228
- Damage – 19
- Magazine Size – Infinite
- Fire Rate – 12
- Reload Time – 5 seconds
- Structure Damage – 32
The most effective way to utilize a Minigun is to fire it from a moderate distance. It does not inflict significant damage when used from a long distance and is challenging to control when used up close due to its cumbersome design. However, if you are able to land shots, it can still be very powerful.
Despite its high recoil and 1.5x headshot multiplier, the weapon can still be utilized according to your preferred gameplay style. For increased accuracy and to minimize bullet spread for more headshots, it is recommended to crouch while using the Minigun. This will allow for more precise shots to be fired.
