How to Obtain the Sledgehammer Melee Weapon in MW3 & Warzone

The upcoming Season 4 of MW3 and Warzone promises to bring an abundance of new content, including new Zombies material, maps, and four never-before-seen weapons.

The Kar98k, Superi 46, and Reclaimer 18 are some of the recently added firearms, and the developers even included a new melee weapon called the Sledgehammer, perhaps as a nod to themselves.

How to Obtain the Sledgehammer in MW3 and Warzone?

In order to obtain the Sledgehammer, you must finish a set of Weekly Challenges consisting of five tasks. These challenges are achievable in any of MW3’s game modes and Warzone.

It is uncertain how many levels the weapon will have, and although it is unlikely to come with attachments, you will still need to progress through levels in order to unlock camo challenges. On that note, the Sledgehammer will also bring in the new “Dubs Dubs Dubs”Weapon Camo for those dedicated to collecting camos.

While MW3 and Warzone’s more recent melee weapons emphasize speed, the Sledgehammer, as one would expect, prioritizes the raw and powerful impact that a sledgehammer can deliver.

According to the Season 4 blog, the massive melee weapon is not intended for hammering nails into wood. Its 20-pound head, made of carbon steel and beveled to prevent chipping, is designed for delivering quick and powerful blunt force damage.

The weapon will be included in the Season 4 Reloaded update, which will also introduce the Reclaimer 18 on June 26 at 9 AM PST | 12 PM EST | 5 PM BST.
