The only way to increase the power levels of your weapons and gear in Destiny 2 is by upgrading modules. Therefore, it is important to stock up on them whenever you have the opportunity.
With each additional expansion, Bungie raises the base power level for all activities. Although your current power level will see an increase, it will not suffice in defeating the new expansion’s adversaries.
Where to find Upgrade Modules in Destiny 2
In Destiny 2, Upgrade Modules can be obtained through either purchasing them or completing various activities in the game.
The game offers a variety of methods for obtaining this item. Below is a comprehensive list of all the available options.
Vendors
Currently, the only vendors selling Upgrade Modules are Banshee-44 and Ada-1. The item can be located on the second page of their inventory.
Ada-1- can be found in the Tower Annex.
Acquiring this item from them will require 1 Enhancement Core and 5000 Glimmer.
Season Pass
Alternatively, if you’re looking to obtain this item without cost, you can check the tiers on your Season Pass. Both the complimentary and paid tracks offer Upgrade Modules for you to redeem, as long as you have reached the necessary levels.
Nevertheless, the free track only provides access to 15 modules, while the paid track offers 18 Upgrade Modules on top of the 15 available on the free track.
Concentrated Mattergem
This consumable can be acquired from the Eververse Store by exchanging Bright Dust. While using this consumable, you will be rewarded with an Upgrade Module upon defeating any Destiny 2 boss enemy.
You can have up to 50 Concentrated Mattergem in your inventory.
The effects of this consumable will only last until you receive an Upgrade Module drop, meaning you will need to use additional items if you desire more modules in the game.
Legendary Campaign
Whenever the Destiny 2 campaign is played on Legendary difficulty, completing a mission results in receiving multiple Upgrade Modules. Additionally, upon completing the entire campaign on Legendary difficulty, even more stacks of this item will be received.
It should be noted that this method is only applicable during the initial playthrough on each of your characters.
Aside from upgrading Modules, if your goal is to create a Stasis Build, the following is a comprehensive list of all Stasis Fragments available in Destiny 2 and instructions on how to utilize Luminiscent Seeds within the game.
