How to Play Spectre Divide Early: Closed Beta Signups for Shroud’s FPS

“The world has been introduced to Spectre Divide, with Shroud as its leader. It is set to enter early access for playtesting and will also have a planned Closed Beta.”

Mountaintop, an independent studio, revealed their unique spin on the tactical FPS genre by incorporating a body-swapping game mechanic in a traditional 3v3 bomb defusal game mode.

The developers announced during their reveal that they would be conducting tests over the coming months, beginning with a “stress test”on the server and eventually moving on to a closed beta for the free-to-play game.

To participate in the game’s upcoming playtest, follow these steps.

How to get early access to Spectre Divide?

At present, the only method of obtaining early access to Spectre Divide is by submitting a request through Steam.

To accomplish this, you must visit the Steam page for Spectre Divide and add the game to your wishlist. Then, click on the request access button on the store page. Participants will be selected randomly, and if you are chosen, you will have the opportunity to download the playtest version of the game.

This indicates that there is no assurance of obtaining early access. Nevertheless, a select few have the opportunity to gain access through a specific link given to 10,000 of Shroud’s followers, but it has already been discontinued.

Currently, the developers have scheduled one playtest for Spectre Divide on August 3. This playtest will serve as a stress test and all players with access are invited to participate. It will take place from 12 PM to 8 PM PT and will last for a duration of eight hours.

According to their FAQ, any progress made during the stress test will not be transferred to the final game. Therefore, if you have managed to gain access, be aware that your progress will not be saved.

While there is currently no official announcement regarding the release date for the Closed Beta, it seems that it will be available in the near future. It is expected that the developers will open up more opportunities for playtesting when the Closed Beta is launched.
