Fans of FPS were taken aback when 1047 Games revealed Splitgate 2, and you can experience a preview of the upcoming sequel through participation in the Closed Alpha.
However, when its popularity waned, the developers made the decision to expand upon this concept by introducing factions, abilities, and other features.
To be one of the first to witness the sequel in action, follow these steps to play the Splitgate 2 alpha.
How to access Splitgate 2 Closed Alpha
To gain access to the Splitgate 2 alpha, visit the game’s official Steam page and sign in. Then, click on the ‘Request Access’ button in the Playtest section to register your interest.
Despite completing the necessary steps, there is no guarantee that you will be granted access to the alpha. The developers have set a limit on the number of participants initially allowed. If you are selected, you will receive a notification informing you that the Closed Alpha is available for download.
It is yet to be determined how many individuals will be selected to participate, or the number of rounds of players who will receive access. However, it is expected to operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so make sure to promptly register on Steam.

Splitgate 2 Alpha Dates
The initial Closed Alpha will commence on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 12 PM PT / 9 AM ET / 8 PM BST and will run for only four days until its conclusion on Sunday, August 25.
This indicates that you will have a week or less to experience the new maps, factions, and gameplay alterations. If you do not take advantage of this opportunity, it is possible that there will be additional testing in the future as the developers prepare for the official launch.
Splitgate 2 Alpha Platforms: Is It Available on Console?
The Splitgate 2 alpha is currently only accessible on PC through Steam. Although the full game will eventually be released on PlayStation and Xbox, console players will unfortunately not have the opportunity to play the alpha version.
