Leveling up in Phasmophobia allows you to unlock all tiers of equipment. However, once you have obtained all items, you will also have the opportunity to Prestige.
Prestiging is a process that can be repeated multiple times, with each instance resulting in the loss of all equipment and a return to the starting point. Here, we will explain how to Prestige, how to quickly level up, and the benefits of doing so in Phasmophobia.
Understanding Prestige
Once you have reached level 100 in Phasmophobia, you have the option to Prestige by clicking the ‘Prestige’ button in the main menu.
You can Prestige by hitting the button under your ID Card.
Once you have reached Level 100, the man on the radio will inform you of an upcoming promotion. This serves as another sign that you are eligible to Prestige, a total of 20 times.
After receiving the levels and indication from the radio, return to the game’s main menu and select the Prestige button located below your player ID card.
What happens when you Prestige?
When you choose to Prestige in Phasmophobia, your equipment will be reset and your level will return to 1. This means that you will need to unlock all Tier 3 equipment once more, just like when you first started playing. If you wish, you can Prestige again after this reset.
Prestiging takes away all the equipment you unlocked along the way.
Should you Prestige?
If you want to unlock everything that Phasmophobia has to offer, it is recommended that you Prestige.
It should be noted, however, that Prestiging will result in the loss of all your equipment and a return to Level 1. Therefore, if you are currently utilizing the most advanced equipment in the game, it may be wise to delay your decision to reset for a while.
Rewards
Every time you Prestige in Phasmophobia, you will receive a brand new ID card, a new title, Legacy Badges, and a new Player Icon.
You get new ID Cards and titles when you Prestige.
Each time you Prestige up to 10 times, you will receive a new title. The title ‘Ghost Huntin’ Intern’ is automatically assigned when you begin playing, but by Prestiging, you can obtain titles such as Ghost Huntin’ Detective, Ghost Huntin’ Specialist, and Ghost Huntin’ Commissioner.
Each time, you will receive a new ID Card, with a maximum of 20 times. The top-of-the-line ID Cards feature discreet animations, and your Prestige Level will be denoted by a Roman numeral on your Card.
Legacy Badges are unique cosmetic items that can be equipped on your character, similar to ID Cards. As your level increases, the complexity of these badges also increases.
How to level up fast
To increase your level in Phasmophobia, simply participate in games and finish daily and weekly challenges. Here are some tips for leveling up quickly:
- Correctly identify the ghost
- Find the bone
- Take 3-star photos
- Get a perfect investigation
- Complete the optional objectives
- Play on higher difficulty levels
- Play on medium and large maps
In order to receive a perfect investigation bonus in the game, you must find the bone, capture 10 3-star photos, and complete all optional objectives. This also requires correctly identifying the ghost.
If you are unable to correctly identify the ghost, you will still receive some XP, although it will be less than if you had identified it correctly. Additionally, completing medium and large locations will also grant you bonus XP, making them a worthwhile option for leveling up quickly.
