Fortnite’s Chapter 5, Season 3, focuses heavily on vehicular combat. If you’ve played a few games, you’ve probably noticed that most players are either utilizing a vehicle or carrying items that can damage them. In either scenario, it’s crucial to keep your own vehicle in top condition at all times. To help you out, here’s a brief guide on all the ways to repair vehicles in Fortnite.
How to Use the Repair Torch
A useful method for fixing your vehicle is by locating and utilizing a Repair Torch. While not particularly rare, these items do occupy a slot in your inventory or backpack.
The Repair Torch comes equipped with 200 charges and can restore 25 HP to a vehicle with each use. With a Repair Torch in hand, you can repair a vehicle multiple times without any issue.
Repairing Vehicles at Repair Centers
If you would rather not carry a Repair Torch with you, you can search for a service or repair center on the map. These locations are marked with a symbol that resembles a gas station and can be found on both the minimap and the main map. Simply park your vehicle next to the pump station and it will be automatically repaired.
Your main concern in these areas is that they are often visited by players, particularly near high-traffic locations such as Nitrodome or places where a boss may appear. If you are forced to spend a significant amount of time in these stations, you are likely to encounter someone attempting to track your movements without being noticed.
Where to Find Repair Crates
When visiting the main roads or repair centers, it is common to come across crates scattered throughout the area. These crates can easily be identified by a small icon, and if you happen to see a red one with a wrench, you can be sure that it is a repair crate.
If you need to fix your vehicle, simply drive over it and it will be instantly repaired to its full health. You may come across a variety of crates scattered throughout, many of which contain upgrades for your vehicle such as off-road tires, cow catchers, bulletproof tires, and more.
While there are various types of crates, repair crates are the most frequently encountered. In a combat situation, it is crucial to keep an eye out for these crates as they could ultimately determine the outcome of the battle.
The majority of vehicle repairs and modifications in Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 3 Battle Pass are actually quests. These quests offer a variety of exclusive rewards, such as the Megalo Don and a collaboration with Fallout 4. If you want to learn more about what’s new in Chapter 5 Season 3, click here.
