How to Resolve the Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut Ultrawide Cutscenes Problem on PC

Nixxes Software has done an outstanding job with the PC port of Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, providing all the features one would expect from a modern PC release. While the game fully supports ultrawide monitors during gameplay, the letterboxing in cutscenes can hinder immersion. Thankfully, modder Lyall has released a patch that eliminates these black borders and allows for a seamless experience during cutscenes.

Fixing the Ghost of Tsushima Ultrawide Cutscenes Issue

To resolve the problem of letterboxed cutscenes during gameplay of Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut on PC, simply install the patch developed by Lyall. This patch eliminates the black bars and also adjusts the FOV accordingly.

  • Download the patch file by clicking the GoTFix_v0.9.3.zip under assets
  • Extract the zip file in the installation folder of Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut

Simply follow these steps to apply the patch. Once completed, the game will launch without any letterboxing in cutscenes and dialogue sections. Lyall has provided some screenshots to demonstrate the outcome.

Instructions for Removing the Patch

The process of removing the patch is quite straightforward. You can easily achieve it by erasing the extracted files from the primary installation directory.
