The Sims 4: How to rotate objects freely
There are a few commands available in the Sims 4 that allow you to rotate items according to your preferences. However, these commands can only be used in Build Mode, so make sure to switch to that mode
Below is a list of all the commands available for use on a PC:
- To rotate an object 45° degrees (using the default Sims 4 camera setting), left-click to select the object and then right-click to rotate it clockwise before placing it.
- To rotate objects freely in the Sims 3 camera mode, simply select an object and hold down Alt while dragging your mouse to rotate it to your desired degree.
The following is a list of all the commands that can be used on PlayStation:
- To rotate an object by 45 degrees, select the object you want to place and press either R1 to rotate it clockwise or R2 to rotate it counter-clockwise. Release the buttons when the object is facing the desired direction to place it.
- Rotate objects freely: In Build Mode, simply select the desired object and press L1 and R1 simultaneously. Then, use the Right Analog Stick to rotate the object to your desired orientation. You can release the buttons once the object is facing the direction you want.

- In Build Mode, you can freely rotate objects by selecting the desired object and pressing and holding LB and RB. Use the Right Analog Stick to adjust the rotation as desired, and release the buttons once the object is facing the desired direction.
Below is a list of all the commands that can be used on a Mac:
- To rotate an object 45°, first select it in Build mode. Then, use the right button to rotate the object by 45°. Finally, left-click to place it in the desired location.
- To rotate objects freely, simply enter Build Mode and choose the objects you wish to place. Click and hold the object, then hold down the ALT key while using your mouse to turn it. Release the left mouse button when the object is facing the desired direction.
Remember that the “bb.moveobjects on” cheat allows you to easily relocate and rotate any object, furniture piece, or decoration within your Sims household. You have the freedom to place them wherever you desire.
