The Sims 4: How to rotate objects freely

There are a few commands available in the Sims 4 that allow you to rotate items according to your preferences. However, these commands can only be used in Build Mode, so make sure to switch to that mode

Below is a list of all the commands available for use on a PC:

  • To rotate an object 45° degrees (using the default Sims 4 camera setting), left-click to select the object and then right-click to rotate it clockwise before placing it.
  • To rotate objects freely in the Sims 3 camera mode, simply select an object and hold down Alt while dragging your mouse to rotate it to your desired degree.

The following is a list of all the commands that can be used on PlayStation:

  • To rotate an object by 45 degrees, select the object you want to place and press either R1 to rotate it clockwise or R2 to rotate it counter-clockwise. Release the buttons when the object is facing the desired direction to place it.
  • Rotate objects freely: In Build Mode, simply select the desired object and press L1 and R1 simultaneously. Then, use the Right Analog Stick to rotate the object to your desired orientation. You can release the buttons once the object is facing the direction you want.

Remember that the “bb.moveobjects on” cheat allows you to easily relocate and rotate any object, furniture piece, or decoration within your Sims household. You have the freedom to place them wherever you desire.
