How to Solve the Animal Tank Puzzle with Atomic Heart

As players go into Facility 3826, they will encounter several riddles. In an alternate universe Communist Russia, players control Comrade Major P-3 as he tries to halt rampaging robots. The early game takes place in the subterranean Vavilov Complex. To exit this complex, players must activate the Birchtree.

Players will come upon a bizarre experiment involving animals in aquariums while looking for canisters to connect into the tree. To get entrance to the Pesticide Workshop and obtain the Pesticide canister, P-3 must finish this experiment. Follow this method to finish the experiment by activating the proper Atomic Heart tanks.

Animal Console

P-3 will wander inside the animal experiment room on their way to the cold and pesticide sessions. The key to the puzzle is the console in the center of the room. Do not use the cranks on any tanks just yet. Take note of the console’s default condition. The green beasts are already on. The aim is to crank the remaining orange tanks’ cranks. Name the tanks on console slots 1-9, left to right, and use this map to help you finish the experiment.

Solution to the Problem

1. Activate the chicken tank on the left side of the console.
2. Do not touch this tank because it has already been switched on.
3. Activate the cow tank on the console’s back right.
4. Activate the cow tank in the console’s upper right corner.
5. Between 3 and 6, turn on the cow tank (this cow tank is empty of any liquid on the right side of the room.)
6. Do not touch this tank since the liquid-free cow tank has already been activated.
7. Set the cow tank above the liquid-free cow tank to active. The doors on the tank’s roof will be opened.
8. Activate the pig tank in the console’s back left corner.
9. To the left of the console, turn on the pig tank.

Check the console after each crank to ensure that no mistakes have been made. If a tank is mistakenly switched on or off, revert it to its original state. The sequence isn’t required, but it makes things simpler to remember.

Come to the Pesticide Workshop.

If the problem is successfully completed, all of the animals in the empty tank should transform into red polymer goo save the cow. This will provide access to the Pesticide Workshop. Make careful to save in the little room because the following portion is combat-heavy. If you run out of ammo or health, go to a vending machine.
