How to Unlock EMP Grenade in Modern Warfare 3

There is a new piece of Tactical Equipment in Modern Warfare 3 Season 5 known as the EMP Grenade. In order to use it in their loadout, players must first unlock it.

This Tactical has been a staple in previous CoD games, and it’s ideal for disrupting the enemy’s Killstreaks, Field Upgrades, and other tactics.

How to Obtain EMP Grenade in Modern Warfare 3

To unlock the EMP Grenade in MW3, you must either complete three Daily Challenges or achieve wins. This new Tactical Equipment is an Armory Unlock, meaning it must be activated before you can proceed with the three challenges or wins.

Completing three challenges should not be a time-consuming task. These challenges may involve obtaining a certain number of kills with a specific type of weapon, achieving headshots, or getting kills with a particular Lethal Equipment. In case you have exhausted all your Daily Challenges, you can make progress by winning in any game mode.

EMP Grenade explained

The Tactical Equipment item is designed to be thrown by players. Its area of effect is capable of disrupting enemy sensors and deactivating electronics, making it a valuable piece of Equipment in objective-based game modes. Additionally, the EMP has the ability to disorientate enemies by causing glitches in the HUDs of any enemy Operators hit by its blast.

The CoD Blog suggests utilizing the EMP as a means of breaching. By throwing it at enemies who have deployed Field Upgrades or Killstreaks such as the Trophy System or Wheelson on the map, the EMP will effectively disrupt them and allow for a strategic advantage.

While it may not be accessible in Warzone, it would still be less efficient in battle royale compared to other options in the Tactical Equipment category, such as Smokes, which have a greater impact.

In addition to the EMP, players can also acquire the Quartermaster Suppressor Muzzle through the Armory Unlock. This attachment is particularly effective when equipped on the iconic STG44 AR in Modern Warfare 3.
