Unlocking Co-Op & Multiplayer in Space Marine 2
Upon starting the game, the initial step is to complete the introductory prologue, which serves as a tutorial for the entirety of Space Marine 2. Following this, players are immediately thrown into the first mission, Skyfire, with no access to the Operations or Eternal War game modes. It is evident that Saber Interactive deliberately made this decision to motivate players to familiarize themselves with the game’s mechanics before engaging in matches with other live players.
Upon finishing Skyfire, the Battle Barge, the central hub of Space Marine 2, will become available to you. This is when the game truly expands, granting you the ability to personalize your equipment and switch between the Operations, Eternal War, and main campaign game modes.
Captain Titus, in Space Marine 2, provides a narrative justification for the opening of Operations at this particular moment. He enlists the support of other Ultramarine squads to aid in the ongoing battle. As you take charge of these squads in Operations, you are tasked with missions that are closely tied to the main storyline. From this point on, you have the option to play and access all game modes at your discretion.
