The leaks were true, Season 3 of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone will bring back weapons from 2014’s Advanced Warfare. The MORS sniper rifle is coming at the launch of the season while the BAL-27 assault rifle will arrive in the update mid-season update.
Mid-season weapons can still unlock in multiple ways, so here’s everything we know about how to get the BAL-27 in MW3 and Warzone.
How to unlock the BAL-27 in Warzone and MW3
At the moment, we don’t know exactly how you will be able to unlock the BAL-27 in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone.
This could be done either via a new sector of the Season 3 Battle Pass, or through a weekly challenge, or by unlocking arsenal after the Season 3 Reloaded update.
The BAL-27 was quickly qualified as one of the most powerful weapons when Advanced Warfare launched in 2014. What makes it unique is that its rate of fire increases the longer you hold the trigger, providing slow, but accurate initial shots before having a rapid rate of fire as the magazine empties.
The developers revealed that this weapon “rips” at close range, but will have “moderate recoil that drifts upward,” so you may not use it to hit distant targets. But, with a 60-round magazine, the BAL-27 could well become the ideal sniper support option in Season 3 Reloaded.
