Hidden within the world of Black Myth: Wukong lies the Pool of Shattered Jade, a covert location housing a challenging boss and a concealed area. This region can be uncovered in Chapter 4, but without the proper clues, its discovery may seem like a daunting task. Fortunately, there is a solution.
Directions to the Pool of Shattered Jade
Start at Upper Hollow and locate the shrine in this area. After reaching the shrine, continue on your journey, defeating enemies, passing by Meditation Spots, and encountering other obstacles. Your goal is to find a large rock, behind which lies what you are searching for.
To begin, quickly make your way to Upper Hollow. Upon arrival, seek out the Upper Hollow Shrine, which is easily recognizable and should not be difficult to find.
There should be a ladder leading up to a pillar located just near the Shrine.
Go up the ladder and continue on the path by turning left.
You will encounter a gap in the near future. Take a leap to descend.
As you continue, you will come across a section filled with cocoons. Be cautious, as there may be enemies lurking, ready to ambush you.
Continue along the road until you come across a massive boulder. Make your way towards the poorly-lit sanctuary.
You have arrived at the Pool of Shattered Jade.
Venom Daoist Boss Fight
Venom Daoist is a Yaoguai boss that can be encountered in Black Myth: Wukong. Players will have the option to face him twice – first at the Pool of Shattered Jade, and then again in the Temple of Yellow Flowers.
As you make your way through the cave filled with cocoons, you will encounter one large, solitary cocoon.
Eradicate it in order to summon the Venom Daoist.
To defeat him, follow these steps:
The Venom Daoist is highly skilled in executing swift attacks. If one is not alert, the boss can catch them off guard with a sudden dash. However, these attacks can be predicted through audio and visual cues. With proper timing, it is possible to easily evade the boss’s dashes.
After performing a powerful lunge into the air and slamming his weapon into the ground, the boss will create a shockwave. He will then take a few seconds to dislodge his weapon, during which you can use spells such as Immobilize or execute a Heavy Attack to take advantage of the opening.
The Venom Daoist is a highly mobile adversary, requiring constant movement in order to avoid its attacks. The boss is capable of striking from any direction.
Eliminate all of his arms on the back. By doing this, you will obtain the Venomous Armguard and a Gold Tree Core as rewards after the battle.
