Until recently, Belle, Rapunzel, and Elsa were the sole Disney princesses featured in Disney Dreamlight Valley. However, with the release of the Dapper Delights update, Gameloft has included Tiana as a new addition to the game’s roster of princesses.
Tiana’s presence in Disney Dreamlight Valley has brought numerous exciting additions, such as her recently opened Meal Stall and a brand-new Restaurant. As announced in Gameloft’s Developer Update, she has made a significant impact on the game, surpassing many other characters.
Tiana, like every other character, has a distinct way of making their introduction in every update. However, she will not immediately become a part of the game upon discovery – some persuasion will be necessary beforehand.
How to unlock Tiana
To acquire Tiana in Disney Dreamlight Valley, simply finish Remy’s “A Taste for Literature”quest. Upon launching the game after the update, you will receive a letter called “A culinary development”in your mailbox. Follow these step-by-step instructions to successfully complete the quest.
Search for Remy’s Book
Read Remy’s letter as soon as you update your game.
Remy explains in this letter how he stumbled upon a mysterious book in the Glade of Trust, but is unable to retrieve it on his own.
Find the mysterious book in the Glade of Trust.
To find the open blue book, make your way to the Glade of Trust located in the southwest corner of the Valley. Keep an eye out for a pond, as that is where I found it, though the location may vary for each player.
Meet Remy and return the book
It’s all coming back to him now.
Meet Remy at his restaurant and present him with the book. This causes a memory to materialize on the floor. Examine it to obtain a photo of Merlin, Mickey, and Moana enjoying a picnic together.
Talk to the villagers from the memory
Time to check in on the villagers from the memory.
In order to receive the next piece of the quest, be sure to locate Moana, Mickey, and Merlin and engage in conversation with them. Although they tend to travel throughout the world and are not typically found in a specific location, you can easily locate them by using the map and teleporting to a nearby Well.
Merlin hands you the ingredient himself, and each of them shares one ingredient they remember from the picnic.
Make Enchanted Shrimp Étouffée

To prepare the Cajun recipe, gather the necessary ingredients: Shrimp, Onion, Rice, and Milk. Here’s the process for obtaining each one:
- Shrimp: Blue ripples at Dazzle Beach are a good spot for catching Shrimp.
- To grow Onions, purchase seeds from Goofy’s Stall in the Forest of Valor.
- To buy rice, one can go to Goofy’s Stall located in the Glade of Trust.
- Milk: Buy Milk from Chez Remy’s Pantry.
Don’t forget to take all the ingredients back to the nearest cooking station and put them in the designated slots to create an Enchanted Shrimp Étouffée. Remember to also include the Dreamlight Peppers that Merlin provided.
Recipe for Enchanted Shrimp Étouffée
There’s plenty for everyone.
Next, treat the villagers from your memories – Moana, Mickey, and Merlin – to a delicious serving of the Enchanted Shrimp Étouffée. Don’t forget to let Remy have a taste as well. Once you’ve finished, extend a warm welcome to Tiana and invite her to join you in Disney Dreamlight Valley. All that remains is for you to help her complete her Friendship Quests.
Tiana’s Friendship Level 2 Quest: Back From the Bayou
I don’t recall inviting Merlin to the grand opening, but here he is.
In Tiana’s initial Friendship Quest, you will gain access to her restaurant and stall. To finish Back from the Bayou in DDV, simply follow these instructions.
Tiana’s Palace Restaurant
The best place for Tiana’s Palace restaurant is the Glade of Trust.
After conversing with Tiana and volunteering to assist with setting up her restaurant, access the Build menu and select a location within the Valley for Tiana’s Palace to be placed – no compensation required. Then, enter the building and have a discussion with Tiana. She will bring up the need for a Meal Stall to test her concepts, and this is where you can play a role.
Gather the ingredients and craft Tiana’s Meal Stall
I will gladly test all of Tiana’s recipes.
To create Tiana’s Meal Stall in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you will need to collect the following ingredients:
- 15 Glass: You can craft Glass at a crafting station using five Sand and one Coal Ore.
- Mine Sand from the teal-colored structures on Dazzle Beach or by digging this biome’s soil.
- Mine Coal Ore from rock nodes all over the Valley or Eternity Isle.
- Five Brick: You can craft Glass at a crafting station using five Clay and one Coal Ore.
- Dig Clay from the Glade of Trust, Sunlit Plateau, and the Forgotten Lands.
- Mine Coal Ore from rock nodes all over the Valley or Eternity Isle.
- Collect 10 pieces of Hardwood by gathering it in the Sunlit Plateau, Forest of Valor, Glade of Trust, and Frosted Heights.
- Forage for Softwood in the Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, Forest of Valor, and Glade of Trust, totaling 25 pieces.
Visit Tiana’s Meal Stall Near the Restaurant and Purchase a Delicious Meal
Your new supply of meals, just a couple of Star Coins away.
After obtaining all the necessary ingredients, locate Tiana’s Meal Stall recipe in the Functional Items category on the crafting station. Once it has been crafted, position it close to Tiana’s Stall, buy a meal, and then speak with Tiana.
Prepare for Tiana’s Meal Stall Opening
Get everything ready for Tiana’s guests.
The subsequent task is to extend an invitation to Mother Gothel and Moana for the grand opening. A potential quest objective requires you to eavesdrop on Remy and Tiana’s dialogue regarding their menus.
Once they have agreed to attend the event, it is now time to assist Tiana in preparing everything. The following ingredients should be gathered:
- 24 Hardwood: Gather Hardwood from the Sunlit Plateau, Forest of Valor, Glade of Trust, and Frosted Heights.
- Forage for 30 Softwood at the Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, Forest of Valor, and Glade of Trust.
- To obtain 18 Fiber, use seaweed as a crafting material at your crafting bench. Seaweed can be obtained by fishing at ripple-free spots in Dazzle Beach and The Docks.
- Forage for these green flowers, known as 9 Green Rising Penstemon, in the Peaceful Meadow. Remember to collect all the flowers and allow them to regrow.
After collecting all the necessary ingredients, use a crafting station to create a Bistro Table and a Bistro Chair. You can find these items under Furniture, marked with Tiana’s icon in the upper right corner.
To enhance the appearance of Tiana’s Meal Stall, utilize these items to decorate the exterior. Additionally, consider incorporating Elegant Decoration from the Furniture menu.
Inaugurating Tiana’s Meal Stall
Tiana will be cutting the ribbon to inaugurate her Meal Stall in the Valley.
Return to Tiana’s Palace restaurant and retrieve the Inauguration Ribbon from Tiana. Place it directly in front of Tiana’s Meal Stall to mark the start of the opening night.
Upon capturing a cute selfie with all of the guests, have a conversation with Mother Gothel, Moana, and Remy. Once everything is finished, return to Tiana to finish Back from the Bayou.
