TikTok has introduced a new feature that allows users to generate AI simulations of their voices within the app. In this article, we will explore how you can incorporate this feature into your videos.
AI is becoming increasingly integrated into various platforms, including TikTok. The platform has recently introduced a new AI feature that enables users to record their own voices for voiceovers.
The use of AI voiceovers on TikTok is not a recent development—you are able to utilize this feature to incorporate spoken content into your videos without the need to record it manually.
Previously, the text-to-speech feature on TikTok only provided default voices for use. However, it is now possible to create your own AI voice by recording a few lines out loud and saving them for future use.
How to Record and Use Your Own Voice for TikTok’s Text-to-Speech Feature
- Press the button labeled “Aa” located on the far right of the screen to access the text box. Enter the desired words that you want the voiceover to speak.
- Press the Text-to-speech button located above the text box.
- To create an AI version of your voice that can be used with text-to-speech in TikTok videos, select the Create your own voice option from the list of voices. Simply record a few lines out loud, and your AI voice will be generated and kept private. You can delete it at any time.
- After adding your AI voice, return to the text-to-speech option and choose your voice from there.
- Simply hide your text box if you only want the voiceover. That’s all.
To customize your own voice for TikTok’s text-to-speech feature, you will need to make a new video. Simply tap the “Aa”button on the far right of the screen, which is the text box button.
In the provided text box, enter the words you wish to be included in your voiceover. Then, select the Text-to-speech button located above the text box.
After this, there will be a menu containing different voices, each represented by a character such as “Ruby”or “Trickster”.
Choose the ‘Create your own voice’ option from the available choices. You will then be instructed to verbally record a few lines in order to create an AI version of your voice.
This AI voice will remain private and can be used for text-to-speech in your TikTok videos. You have the option to delete it at any time.
Once you have successfully created your AI voice, go back to the text-to-speech settings and select your newly recorded voice from the available options. If you wish to only have the voiceover without the accompanying text box, you can choose to hide it.
