Indeed, the final reunion of the nine most popular boys on TV this summer has arrived. But did you know what happened after they finished filming? Here’s everything you need to know about watching The Boyfriend reunion.
It was unexpected, but The Boyfriend, a new dating series on Netflix, has quickly become the most popular show to binge on the platform.
During a summer in a picturesque villa, nine boys lived together for 10 episodes with a shared goal of finding a boyfriend before their departure. They also spent their time learning how to run a coffee truck.
The new TV series has reached its final episode. As a result of fan demand, a reunion is in the works, where we will discover the current status of the cast and their romantic interests since the end of filming. The question remains, when will it air?
Watch the reunion
The Boyfriend reunion will be available for live streaming on both X and Youtube on August 3, 2024, at 8pm JST, which is equivalent to 7am ET/ 4am PST.

For British viewers, this translates to 12pm BST on the same day, and for European fans, 1pm CET.
The entire original cast of The Boyfriend, consisting of Alan, Dai, Gensei, Ikuo, Kazuto, Ryota, Shun, Taehon, and Yusaku, will be present at the event.
Throughout the show, MEGUMI, Chiaki Horan, Thelma Aoyama, Dorian Lollobrigida, and Yoshimi Tokui will make appearances as well.
Despite all ten episodes of the original series being released directly on Netflix, the fact that the reunion is not immediately available on the streaming service may come as a surprise. However, we do have an explanation for this.
How to Get Subtitles
Don’t worry, if you require English subtitles for The Boyfriend reunion, they can still be obtained. The only catch is that they will not be accessible during the initial livestream, but they will be available once the show is added to Netflix at a later time.
The official statement from Netflix is that there will be a panel and full cast reunion, which will be available for replay with English subtitles to be added at a later time. However, there will be no English subtitles during the livestream, though the live chat audience may provide some translations.
If fans wish to submit questions for the reunion before the livestream through X/Twitter, they may encounter some difficulty. Questions must be written in Japanese and include the hashtag #ボーイフレンドナイト. Unless you are proficient in using Google Translate, you may need to refrain from participating in this event.
At the moment, there is no definite schedule for when the reunion will be made available on Netflix. However, based on Netflix’s past hosting of live events and reality TV dating shows, it is expected to be released within 24 hours.
The initial 10 episodes of The Boyfriend can now be streamed on Netflix. As you eagerly anticipate the reunion, take a look at the current status of the Love is Blind couples, the most chaotic breakups on 90 Day Fiance, and whether or not Too Hot To Handle is scripted.
