The photo of BLACKPINK Lisa on Instagram was suddenly bombarded with comments mentioning TWICE Dahyun’s name. Here’s the reason behind it.
Michael Kors showed his admiration for BLACKPINK’s Lisa on August 14 by sharing a post where she was seen wearing a sequined cashmere hoodie from his luxury brand during her ELLE USA photoshoot.
The statement was authored by the brand:

After being shared, the post received an overwhelming response with thousands of likes and positive comments from BLINKs and Lilies, who admired the stunning appearance of the popular K-pop icon. Additionally, her fans showed appreciation to the luxury brand for providing an outfit that perfectly complemented the idol’s sophisticated and refined image.

As followers continued to read through the comments, a significant number of ONCEs (TWICE fans) flooded the post with requests for Dahyun.

Evidently, ONCEs expressed their displeasure and exasperation to Michael Kors for showcasing the BLACKPINK member on their official Instagram.
Despite being the official brand ambassador for Michael Kors, Dahyun was rarely featured on their social media accounts. The most recent post about her was shared in June.
Despite being targeted by some ONCEs, BLACKPINK Lisa was still praised by others as a strong brand representative for Michael Kors. However, there were arguments made that Dahyun, a member of TWICE, should be the sole focus of the brand’s promotion efforts.
BLINKs and Lilies quickly came to Lisa’s defense, responding with supportive messages:

A preview of her magazine interview was also shared, in which she discussed her experience as a solo artist and her perspective on making her acting debut in the upcoming season 3 of the American HBO series, “The White Lotus.”
