Baldur’s Gate 3 is a huge game and the NPCs you meet on your travels are as important as the companions. These NPCs provide you with quests and items that help you progress through the story and impact world events.
However, there is one NPC that players consider a missed opportunity, as they find him anti-climactic and unnecessary. The NPC in question is the “Raven Guy” and much of the community is unhappy with the way Larian Studios has treated him.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Players Consider “Raven Guy” NPC A Missed Opportunity
Discussion on the topic was started by a Reddit user who claimed: “When you meet him, he’s super scary, implies he has immense power, communicates with a white raven, and sends you to punish bad guys.” He continued, “He turns out to be an emo elf with no special skills who can’t even summon crows, he has a pair of gloves with ‘Summon Raven Familiar’ on them.”

He continued: “He also has a letter on him where the people back home desperately want him to come home instead of being an idiot pursuing things no one cares about and instead helping stabilize the city which he left.” Other players have joined the conversation as many of them have very similar ideas.
One such user mentioned: “The game was supposed to have some sort of side content about the Raven Queen, but nothing really came of it. I guess that was scrapped in favor of focusing more on Shar.” Another user added: “You just do his quest and you don’t even learn that he’s this s**t loser in most of the results.”
One player also claimed: “However, his crow was the complete opposite.” Finally, one of the players commented: “I honestly loved his aesthetic but I loved chastising him even more when he was revealed to be a little jerk.”
So it’s safe to mention that most players didn’t like this character. Some found it funny how useless the “Raven Guy” is, while others felt he was a waste of time and a loser in the end.
